I know there is a pitch inspection at 10, but I need to set off before then. For those with some local knowledge is it looking likely to be on?
i live 20 minutes away and we have clear sunny skies no snow but a heavy frost. depends how low it dropped last night as to wether or not the heaters and covers worked. i would guess it will be on but that would just be a guess. i think if it was that bad it would have been called off yesterday.
Saying on twitter that the match is postponed - more info on the official website soon + another pitch inspection at 10.30 Official website saying definitely postponed.
bugger. a trip down to the south coast for a midweek fixture is a lot less appealing. I guess you couldn't afford the electric bill to keep the pitch frost free. That's three weekends in Feb where are matches are postponed now for various reasons. We are going to get quite a backlog.
Not surprised its off......70 miles east along the coast its -7 today and dropping, no sunshine and the threat of snow in the sky! down side......no income for today.......upside......fresh legs for us for Tuesdays visit to brummie and varney can use the brum game to serve his last ban game.....and he will be back for the following week to hammer the tigers BP
My wife's phone say's it's -9 outside in North end right now. I'm not going outside to find out. Keep the hot water flowing in your pipes or they'll burst.
Why wasn't the match called off yesterday ? Will we get a refund on tickets or will you have ceased to exist before then ?
Why wasn't it called off when the fixture list came out, when we knew it was 'likely to be cold' in February? Silly ref waiting for the day of the game, eh?!
still pretty annoying as i reckon we would have done em today. why cant they just put a cover on the pitch?!
Why couldn't one of those former owners put under-pitch heating in? Oh stupid question............. they were too busy fleecing the club.
