And the club deals with it on the rare occassion it occurs instead of the indifference to it at Klanfield. Who knew the Liverbird was actually an ostrich?
I am basing it on the fact that he used racist language. If that language is acceptable where he comes from, he and everybody there who uses that sort of language is not only racist, but too ignorant to know they ARE racist. But you won't change your mind, no more than the non-Liverpool supporting world at large (except for maybe Uraguay and any other country backward enough to believe that it is acceptable) will.
Yep,lose the argument and resort to petty unfunny jokes to cover up your pathetic excuse for the racism that flourishes among many Spurs fans.
from what i have read yes. surely he is the racist for believing that the Hispanic view is wrong, so narrow minded it is unreal
Oh my, you tricky scousers are tying me in knots with your dazzling intellects. Maybe I am a racist...... Or maybe if you lived in a cosmopolitan city where you dealt with folk of different creeds and colours every day, you might get it. If you don't like "foreigners," then London is a very bad choice as a place to live. But seeing as Liverpool is 91% white, it is easy to see where your lack of understanding of the issue comes from. Even so, the childish we're not racist, you are, argument is beneath you really. What I am saying is anybody who comes here and uses racist language in the way Suarez did is a racist. One of the lamentable excuses dreamt up by Suarez is that he didn't know that it was not acceptable here as it was ok "back home." What really makes that a crock of **** is that he spent 5 years in Holland, another multicutural Northern European country, whose race laws are pretty similar to ours. In his five years there he didn't get an inkling that this sort of thing was pretty much frowned upon? Was he in a bubble or something? So ( I am writing this slowly, please try to keep up) if you come from a culture where it is ok to call people "negro" when you are having an argument, it is NOT ok here. That part of the aforementioned culture is racist and has no place here. The fact that he is having English lessons so he doesn't do it again (surely just not making ANY racial references in ANY language would see him right?) is just another epic Fail from LFC's PR department. And yes I do believe that referring to people by their colour in racist terms is wrong whoever does it, be they hispanic or knuckle dragging BNP supporters and it makes them a racist, don't you?
Hispanics aren't a race any more than being Arab German, French etc are. - If anything he could be accused of being bigoted or xenophobic (the thick, illiterate and uneducated scousers might like to google those) but definitely not racist.
Does your ignorance know no bounds?,you use a statistic from somewhere like Wiki and you think the rest of your diatribe becomes reality. Inner City Liverpool is multi-cultural with citizens of my colours, creeds and nationalities and the outer borough's of Kensington,Toxteth,Wavertree,Aigburgth and Walton being much the same. Liverpool has the oldest Chinese community in western Europe Liverpool has a large Afro/Carribean community Liverpool has a large Somali community Liverpool has an area called little Italy due to an influx of Italian migrants early in the last century Liverpool's Turkish community have their own shops and eateries and barber shops etc just as the Polish community does Liverpool obviously has a large Irish community from Northern and Southern Ireland Liverpool also has Asian,Russian and Lithuanian inhabitants In the outer boroughs of the city such as Old Swan,Speke,Kirkdale,Norris Green,Woolton etc the ethnic statistics change. So try and be more factually correct when your talking about this city lad instead of using sketchy internet based data that does'nt portray reality.
You might want to fill out a census form, Ensil... If the best defence for Suarez's comment is "It's not his fault, he's from Montevideo", there's a reason people will keep coming back to it - it's trying to pull the wool over people's eyes, with the slight undercurrent of "He's foreign, he doesn't know better", which is pretty unpleasant. Suarez knew what he was saying, he knew what it meant, but taking responsibility for your actions isn't something you see too often in the Premier League these days, as demonstrated by John Terry and Mario Balotelli regularly enough.
Can the spuds please **** off this thread now, you've no business commenting on a competion thread that no longer includes you. So jog on it's also laughable that now you're at the dizzying hight of third (wow what an achievement, what trophy do u get for that?) u feel the need to dictate what foreign countries can deem as acceptable/inacceptable in their language. Believe me, if black people in South America take offence to the term 'negro' and its use then it would be changed, much like our language has changed over the years.
What's that, Red? You're hoping Newcastle and Chelsea field an ineligible player in the Premier League?
I'm sure they're clever enough to understand simple criteria on eligibility of players. Guess ol' 'arry 'forgot' ?
Tim Sherwood picks the U19 team, 'Arry merely loaned half of them out in the last window. Still, keep trying...
