http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...n-from-Liverpool-and-Wigan-article712370.html Pulis after a natural full back? If this is true then we know once and for all that Pulis has lost his marbles Would be a cracking signing, why we didn't try for him in January I don't know Tony Pulis is ready to save Stephen Warnock from his Aston Villa nightmare with a ã4million summer swoop. Stoke boss Pulis will offer the England international full-back an escape route from Villa - if he manages to keep the Potters in the Premier League. Warnock, 29, is facing the exit at Villa Park after a bitter fall-out with manager Gerard Houllier. The former Blackburn star has been made to train with the club's Academy and has not made a first team appearance since the Premier League defeat at Manchester City in December. However, Pulis aims to target the left-back at the end of the season, and will slug it out with Liverpool - where Warnock played as a youngster - and Wigan to sign him. Pulis is preparing to rip his squad apart in the summer, even if they avoid relegation. Stoke are only four points off the bottom three and Pulis has warned his squad a revamp is coming. "If we stay up this year, there will be lots of changes," he said. "They won't be massive, but certainly changes within the club and the group which will enable to push on again. "It's not a case of shaking it up, it's about being solid enough that if things did go a bit wobbly, we would be able to maintain the progress and stability we've built over the previous three years."
What's with all the interest in Villa players? Are they the new Sunderland? He'd be a good signing if we get him though.
If we're after full backs then Pulis won't be the manager after the summer. It'll either be Martin O'Neill or another name i've heard is Rafael Benitez, said he wanted another project in England to work with.
Inverness, as I mentioned before this is not the first time TP as said there is to be a massive change in the summer. Is that the reason for manager change rumours, can understand peoples concerns ref. O'Neil and I'm not sure about the Fat Spanish waiter wanting to come to Stoke. Whatever happens, I'm desperate for us to hang onto Permiership football and hope all fans keep the faith. COYRRP
Exactly Waddo, number one priority should be Premier League football and trying to keep us in the league, second it should be the FA Cup and getting to the semi-finals and after we should then be looking behind the scenes at a number of things that need changing, Pulis' big problem is that all of his backroom staff has either been managed by him, or they played under him, stop being so bloody nice and do the RIGHT thing.
