The Champion of them all was the late great Sir Matt Busby who had 40-odd different pronunciations of the word "Aye" with which he answered every question (accommpanied by that wonderful smile of his). The press gave up on him finally. Nigel is not comfortable with the Press and it shows. Perhaps he could have his assistant answer all the questions whilst he stands in the background doing the customary frowning, smiling and nodding!
Simon grayson wins no prizes for entertainment, camaraderie and jovial activity. He just looks and sounds worryingly thick to me
rubbish NP is a measured speaker, maybe he's not flamboyant like a Warnock or charismatic like a Mourinho I think he's just careful with the media. That said he's always straight and honest.. don't understand why a Leeds fan would mention this as Grayson isn't exactly laugh a minute is he?
Speak to him without a camera or a microphone and he smiles all the time, he's actually a funny bloke.
I know this has nothing to do with the thread but heard this joke which i thought you would like..... Whats the difference between Cheryl Cole and the Iclandic volcano The volcano is still blowing Ash
A dull manager has always been a problem with fans. Moses used to get it thrown at him by the chosen people that he didn't show enough passion.
Pearson is not only uncomfortable with the press he is unable to relate to players particularly senior ones or players who can have something to say. This is because he cannot think on his feet , is unable to respond quickly to argument, so he chooses to avoid discussion and going to the extreme measure of eliminating players he is unable to talk to.
I believe it is just a simple matter of being unable to express himself. Some people are just not comfortable in the public eye whilst some (like Phil Brown for instance) revel in it. Nevertheless he comes across as a sincere sort of a bloke who knows where he wants to take the Club so I have no problems with him.
****ing hell that's a bit rich when you consider the boring tit you've got for a manager. In all seriousness is Simon Grayson gay ? Doesn't bother me one way or the other but with Steve Davies(the cricketer not the snooker player) coming out it could be the right time for your gaffer to do the same. He could borrow his old mans catch phrase, " I' m free". Oh hang on a minute that was John Inman. What was Larry Graysons catch phrase anyway ?
