Looks like there is pressure on him to step down as captain of Engerland untill after his case for racist abuse is over. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16846990 Surely it's innocent untill proven guilty?
he should step down now. In the paraphrased words of caesar, 'the england captain must be above suspicion.'
Theres videos on youtube showing him racially abusing Ferdinand, so surely in this case it's guilty until proven guilty? If there is proof of it happening, then the man is guilty, no trial needed to prove it.
i don't know why this guy is still the captian , he is in bad reputation ! please log in to view this image
If he had apologised once the video was released and said sorry to Ferdinand in person this would have all been done and dusted with any ban served long before the Euros. I even doubt any ban would have been as long as the one handed to Suarez because Evra made the complaint against him and Ferdinand has never made a complaint. Rather Ferdinand has been the victim of verbal abuse by Terry, by the Chelski fans at the FA cup tie and also sent a bullet in the post by one of their charming supporters. Because Terry is such a major a-hole and so far up his own firmament he never considered the option of saying sorry. I hope the FA strip him of the captaincy, Capello drops him from the squad based on him being way past it, and then found guilty of the racial abuse followed by a minimum ban of 12 matches. Suarez said sorry and admitted what he'd done and got an 8 game ban so JT deserves a lot more.
Exactly. I understand why people don't like him, and to be honest I have heard a lot about the guy from mates in the know that I don't like, but I also understand why he won't step down. The FA has ****ed it once more by being weak and waiting until there is serious political and public pressure for them to act.
He shouldnt be near the England setup anyway, he's ****e. Same with Rio Ferdinand. But they'll probably win the Euros!
John Terry to lead his country into Poland It's not everyday you get to follow in the footsteps of your hero
I agree with Kyle?, you can clearly see him calling Ferdinand a Fu**ing Bl**k C**t. You dont need to be able to lip read to see that! I for one do not want that thing (he is not a Man) associated with the football team of my country. What does it say to the rest of the world, oh he might be racist but he can still play. Suarez was banned for the same offence, so why should Terry be allowed to lead his countries team? Its an honor an a privilege, he has no honor and does not deserve the privilege.
It isn't about him playing, it's about him captaining Engerland. As Medro stated above anyway, he's ****e.
Point taken. I'm not getting into the semantics of whether he's any good or not, that's just opinion.
