Hello and welcome to the all new and improved Match day Hub which is now the official place for Gillingham fans, I decided to update this so that you will know where to go and chat before and during the game. This is here to replace the match day thread and the Starting Line up Prediction, this is where you will now be able to post all your team predictions and score updates. You can now just spend your match day in one place if you are not at the game. This is the thread for the upcoming game, I always post this thread before each game so that you can express your views on the corresponding fixture and can talk between each other during the game, You can post your team predictions before the game, you may include the starting 11 plus the subs which you think will be in the team, no points awarded for your predictions it is just for fun, it allows you to start a healthy debate between each other about the team which we will play or what it should be. If you wish you can post updates freely about the game and chat between yourselves, you are also free to talk about other games bizarre or not. This is open to both Gillingham fans and also the opposition After the match I will allow you all to create a summary on this thread and I will also provide extra details on the game if they are required or if I want to point anything out. You can talk about what was good about the game and what could have been better. During the game I will update the score and the team sheets as soon as they are available, also at the end I will add the table to this thread as it stands. This is here permanently so you will not see the Match day thread or the starting line up prediction threads as this is them combined.
Morning all, hope you are well. I predict that you will win 3-0 and that Keds will be one among the goalscorers. Those of you who are going, I hope you enjoy the game. It won't be long before I will be joining you again at Priestfield (Macclesfield game on 31st March) as it is the only other time (after Saturday) that you are at home and I'm not working at Kingsmeadow (AFC Wimbledon). Evans and Essam have been recalled, according to kent-on-line twity thing, not the most reliable source I know but it could make the team selection interesting.
Lets start with the team predictions, now that we have recalled them two my team changes. ------------------Gazzainga------------------- ----Lee----Richards--------Essam----King------ ----Whelpdale-------Weston-------Jackman---- -------Kuffour------Kedwell------Tomlin------- Subs- Flitney, Evans, Martin, Rance, Miller This is the team I personally would like to see, would be a good team.
I would rather see Lawrence at right back, then sticking Lee there again. Push Lee in to Midfield lose one off your front line 4-4-2. Can Tomlin play on the left of midfield? If so put him there.
Yeah Tomlin can play Left mid, but Jackman is good there, would have to push him inside to play Tomlin there, but saying that anywhere Jackman plays at the minute he is great. If I pushed Lee into midfield I would swap him with Weston and then replace Weston with Evans so he plays right back.
I'm pretty sure that Simon King is on that annoying injury list we have at the moment too, same ankle as before. I really do hope Hess plays Essam at least, and Evans gets some game time. Recalling them just for the sake of it is a bit of a cop out to me to get a reaction from the fans.
I thought I read somewhere that King would be out, due to having injections in his ankle. Hoadie - bearing in mind the suggested changes, you might have to rebuild your team - lol As you answered my question saying Tomlin can play on the left, stick him on the left in midfield and put Martin back in there 442. Maybe drop Whelpdale to the bench, keeping Weston in. Putting Lee in front of Lawrence.
If we lose at home to Hereford I would have to suggest that thereafter we employ the Gills' ladies team or even the Gems.
Well this is great re launch of my thread, first game and is off, there is good points and bad ones that the game is off, One good thing is players that are a bit doubtful and need a rest have one now but bad thing is later on in the season we will now have to play more games in less time.
