I'd love to see Ba and Cisse start but I think it's unlikely, the lad only came back today so he's going to have two days training, and knowing Pardew he'll want to ease him steadily. I can see the same team as last night, but Ba in for Shola (or Best if he's nursing an injury), and I expect to see Cisse thrown on with about half an hour left.

I'd love to be wrong though.

I think ba and ameobi will start...with cisse coming on as a sub for ba! I hate it but I think that's what will happen

I don't understand why anyone wants to chuck Cisse in so quickly, but then again I presume they're the same people who jumped on Raylor's back even when we were unbeaten. <doh>

EDIT: As in "we need to start Santon NOW but he needs time to settle in but still". Same principle applies to Cisse.

Don't think Ben Arfa merits a place in the starting XI right now. Bring him on as a sub and give him a point to prove.

The more he plays the better he will get.

I do agree with this but we need to find the perfect position for him and quickly he is a luxury we can afford but only after we find his perfect position.

Raylor was playing well most matches, and doing his job. Can you say the same about best/ameobi?

I'm picking up the vibe that an "impact" sub is vital for us. Well in that case lets just run them silly for 60-65 mins then bring on Obertan, Ben Arfa and Cisse to spruce it up for the closing third of the match.

Why wouldn't you want to play Cisse. Big money signing and number 9 suggests he isn't here to sit in the bench. Also we chucked Cabaye straight in so why not Cisse? The alternatives are Shola/Best which makes Cisse the obvious partner for Ba to me considering the current form of Shola and Best.

And it's not as if Cisse's never played with Ba either! If he's feeling fit and up to it, let him loose! It's not like we'll be missing Shola's goals if he doesn't fit in right away.

I would go with this for the Vile game, then bring in Obertan for the Spuds game in place of Ben Arfa or Cisse as he'll graft more.

I know they won't, but they need to both start, really. You don't buy a nine million pound striker who is the international team mate of an existing forward and then say he isn't ready. It really wouldn't surprise me if Best and Shola started.
