This is a tough one. Taking the example of Wigan and their falling attendances, being perennial strugglers and losing most of the time can't be fun. I'd rather see us be like West Brom were we yo-yo between the 2 divisions, rather than end up like Wigan and every season feeling like a big struggle. On the other hand, Stoke offer the perfect example of an unfancied team establishing themselves in the premier league, albeit with a lot of cash. I think everyone wants to get back to the PL, no matter how exciting the Championship and the gap between teams in the premier league is widening. 5 years ago there would be 5 teams fighting against the drop, ow there's about 8 or 9. Spurs and Newcastle are fighting their way into the top 6 places and Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and even Man United aren't as formidable as they once were. Though I would rather see us yo-yo than just survive every season like Wigan, you only have to see their attendances to see how the roamnce of the premier league has long gone. For the time being, i'm happy to see us at the right end of the Championship table and in with a chance of going back up.

Wigan have always had poor attendances regardless of what division they are in. They are surrounded by bigger clubs so there will be a vast amount of Man U, Man City & Liverpool fans living in Wigan

Without doubt Premier League, but I would like us to be more like Fulham rather than hovering above relagation nearer mid table with of course our Nicky as manager

Wigan is a R.L. egg chasing hot bed. There PL time/days are almost up now. Hull City could very easily be akin to say Aston Villa given time in there. A bigger capacity is needed for sure but pulling in say crowds of 40,000 is very doable.

Any clubs ambition must be to be on the EPL, and City should be no different. As long as it is managed well, there is no reason why we cannot be a regular in this division. It may mean being a yoyo club over the first 5 years, but as long as we use the revenue wisely during this period, we can be a mid table team after 5 years.

It is a massive ask but I do think if we were to become an established prem club then ground capacity would have to be increased. If we wer mid-table then I think we would get crowds of 30.000+ every home game (stadium permitting)

Although there are good things about being a good championship team, like being able to get tickets for any game without any worries and knowing that the people at a game are they for the club not for the opponents, I'd pick premier league. Of course I'd pick premier league because what are we competing for if that isn't the place we want to be?

We would attract better quality of player or at least in theory. More cash to spend if we needed it which we probably would. Results wise its not great losing most and hoping for a draw at best in at least half of the games.

    Premier league always for me.

The club has to aim for somewhere. 30,000+ would be a given for the lower PL clubs but i also see 40,000 sell outs IF the satdium was increased. The catchment area is vast unlike many other PL clubs. We just need to get back there and stay there. We have had a taste/sip and now we want the full meal and bottle.

    Players:
Most players are ambitious and the better ones will only consider joining / staying at a club that mirrors their own ambitions.

    League Position:
History proves again and again that the teams that don’t achieve promotion eventually begin to slide until they are relegated. Hull City fans have experienced this many times in the past.

    Money:
Without it you’re f***ed these days and the money is in the Prem.

    Social Stigma:
Until we reached the Premiership everyone regarded City as one of a hundred tin-pot clubs that constantly under-achieved and rarely showed any ambition. If anyone says that now we can point to our seasons in the Prem. Hopefully our future fans will be respected as supporters of a first class, successful Premiership Club.

    Entertainment:
It’s better to have a few seasons of arduous struggle in the top flight with the chance of glory at the end, than a few seasons of excitement in the Championship with inevitable decline to follow.

    The only way is up!

Not for me. If its the taking part that counts we would employ cheap players and coaches not pay for anyone because why would we pay if just taking part was the only option?

all an opinion of course and the more I think about it the better the argument for the chapionship.

    Championship for me

I enjoyed the novelty of the prem but really it isn't football and the wages and ticket prices are a bad joke

Thing is Villa have won something in Europe, so people will remember that. We'll never have that, so can't really see how we can compare ourselves. It's a nice dream to have though. I'm not having a go by the way.

    Positives about the premeier league

Prestige, top teams coming to the KC, if we get bigger we might have an increase in capacity

    Negatives

Too many fakes coming out the woodwork & taking tickets to the bigger matches (most have given up us now), fans of other teams, born & bred in Hull originally, turning up to the KC in their opposition shirts, prices for tickets are a joke, people forget quickly how hard it was to get here and whinge about the lack of victories

    Anymore for anymore?

easily 17th in the premier league, what is the point in competing in the top 6 every season, to keep losing, the whole excitement of being up there is the chance of getting up, wihout it, being up in the top 5 or 6 loses its meaning, might as well be in the bottom 6 of the championship.
i really dont get how people can think different, its baffling.
