Just reading a post over on the smb about Campbell and the majority think we should bring him off the bench, with his injury will 3games in a week be to much for the lad and especailly against them thugs. Whats the options Campbell? Ji? Wickham? Sess? the greek? I aint to sure, Campbell was fantastic again tonight but I do take on board the lads on the other forum were saying about the 3games in a weak bit. We don't want to rush the lad, if Bendtner was fit I would start him and have Campbell on the bench just because of the fact I wouldn't want to push him to his limit so soon after such a bad injury but with only Ji and Wickham (I would rather see Ji get a start out of the two) I think I would start with Campbell.
Cannot drop Campbell unless he is feeling his injury - and Sess was awesome tonight - so its a no brainer for me. Bart
So conflicted I want us to spank them, but im fearful of Campbell playing against those barbarians. I think I would give the big beautiful Greek a start against them.
Huth has always been a dirty **** when we play against him. I do worry about the Stoke physicality, especially for Campbell. They will be looking to hold Sess back as much as possible, pulling him down at every opportunity. Just the way they play
Zorba's a center half and I hope he's treated as such. Stick with Campbell and see how he feels at half time...
If he is fit has to be Campbell, his and Sess's pace and movement against Stokes defence, they may be dirty but 1 yellow card and they are on egg shells for the rest of the game.
...Pass them to death in midfield and restrict their crosses...Their big defence must be crapping themselves at our close control...particularly Sess.....Get an early goal or two and shut that crowd up.....Bridge to come in at LB and make a name for himself...no crosses or throw ins from the right....C`mon Wayne!!!!
Why is it that Stoke seem to be immune from referees?...They get away with murder every week with their pushing and shoving at set pieces which gives them an unfair advantage... As for Campbell, it is surely how he feels that counts, and if he is fully fit he should play...
Ji looked calm and controlled when he came on. Give him an outing against the thugs see how it goes. Have FC on the bench in the event he's required. Not worth risking getting FC injured against the mob. Hopefully the big Greek lad catches Huth in the ribs as he powers thru to score
Put Bridge in at LB, Play Colback in the middle and put Ricco up front with the Mighty Sess, keep Campbell on the bench until needed, too much too soon could ruin the lad plus those dirty bastards will try to crock him anyway as we all know. He'd be first on the team sheet against the Gooners though.
...It would be worth a bit o` money to see Demis Rousos and Sess just lining up to take the kick off lol!!
Stop moaning about Stoke's physicality lads. It's how they play. They're not thugs Huth is a **** though lol
Got to be Campbell to start and sub him when he has had enough. The only threat from Stoke will be those throws again - might be worth having Zorba in the middle of a back 3 (with O'Shea and Turner) - if we did this, it could be an interesting 5 man midfield, thoughts?
get sess to run around in circles about 25 yards from goal, get plenty of free kicks and Larsson can score a few.
I am torn on this one lads. If it was not for his injury I would say Campbell straight away but he looked like he was struggling a bit in the 2nd half and he kept looking at his knee. I think maybe Ricco and Sess with Campbell and Ji on the bench is a good plan. If we are looking good bring Ji on, if we need a goal bring Campbell on. Campbell has to start against Arsenal though. I just feel like we need to wrap Campbell and Sess up in cotton wool, they are real quality and I feel we would be much weaker without them.
