''Just a thought, a mate of mine has taken over Spectrum club, (the old "new" silhouette) down Park street and after talking to him the other day he would be up for opening the place on matchdays/nights for the city lads. There would be grub available outside and eventually a seating area out front for better weather. Would city be up for it , what do you lot think?'' Just seen this above on C.I. I think this could be a great idea and venue. Difficult to think of a spot that is truely Tigers only nowadays. What do you guys think and where out of interest do the majority go pre-match. UTT!
Sorry woodmanseytiger but I thinks its a no go, The 'New' Clarendon already caters for Hull City supporters and the egg chasers, and there is a fish & chip shop a couple of doors away.
He could open to away fans as well though. Straight out the back of the train station it's the first place you get to on the way to the ground.
Has anyone seen this on google street view. If you come from spring bank way, you can see it is called 'code', but then if you come from anlaby road way, it is completely different. it just changes at one spot of google street view, very weird! Back on topic though, im not sure if I would. We tend to go to a pub where it has sports on and a pool table (i.e. Zoological etc)
Quite a lot of City fans don't though and feel a tad nomadic. Not that many away fans travel by train to make them a proposition anyway.
Last time I went in there, when it was called 'code', it did have a pool table. I'm sure sports will be provided if he wants to attract city fans. Seems a decent shout. Its no more than a minutes walk from clarendon and londesboro fisheries. So why not sup a couple there, then move on to clarendon to sup a few more. Also it has more outside space than clarendon.
Could sell fridays dregs at £1.50 a pint on matchdays!.Dont think st stephens or local resisdents would be so keen though.
