with the time he's been injured, his good knee(now crocked) would have been carrying all that extra load for 2/3 years, it's no real surprise that one's gone now as well, i think this will be the final straw for him.
Probably an over - compensation injury trying to protect his bad knee from any danger . Have had a few myself over the years .
"We dont yet know what the injury is but its 3 and half years and counting for bodde, time for a reality check for fans and the player im afraid" Then you should include the medics in that too. They are the ones that have told him he can play. They are the experts, not us. Doesn't bode (sorry) well but until we hear what's what and the medics make an assessment this speculation is pointless. He may be finished. It might be nothing.
I do knackered, apparently bodde turned down the chance to use dr Richard stedman who is regarded as the best by some to use a doctor in Holland, maybe the medical advice wasnt the best? of course nobody really knows how closely bodde was following his rehab and conditioning, see ed to me that he spent alot of time off the clubs radar, which i Think maybe was a mistake. As you say though it could be nothing, lets hope it is
I still have hope that this is nothing but my head is telling me that this is over for him now. But I'll keep on hoping until it's official!
It is his other knee which is badly swollen and won't be scanned immediately, Brendan didn't sound too optimistic about Ferrie's prospects in his press conference today. Gone back to Holland to be with his family, looks like it could finally be the end of his career which is a tragedy for all concerned.
how can a contracted player refuse to use a doctor the club he is contracted to recommends unless he pays for it himself??
Im not sure but There Are favoured specialists prefered by players all the time, they Are all experts of course but im guessing that bodde prefered to be close to home instead of going to the USA. Maybe the thinking was that it would be easier for his recovery to have the specialists close. Gavin henson refused the ospreys prefered medical guy to go to germany and seek help, at the end of the day its the players bodies so i would Think they have input to where they receive their treatment. Owain TUdar Jones was sent to dr steadmen who is regarded as one of the best, im guessing that does not come cheap we were a L1 team then as well, so money was not an issue just personal preference.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/front_page/6295385.stm Here is a link about the guy. I Think the club having sent OTJ There would have been More than happy to send bodde There too.
Just got back from Center Parcs Elveden, Suffolk, and while there, got news of this, surely Bodde must now be considering retirement from the game, really feel sorry for the lad, he must really be cursing his luck, can't see him coming back from this now!....... please log in to view this image
Well if its the same type of injury on the other leg(ACL?) there is another year tagged on to his recovery, 4yrs minimum... time to say goodbye and thanks for the memories Not a massive shock, but really gutted for him.loved him getting stuck into the opposition and never taking a step back, the complete player for me ,enforcer, passer, goal scorer, legend !!
Maybe he'll consider Dr Richard Stedman, this time round Norway, but you do get the feeling it's the end of the road for Ferrie, we'll just have to wait and see what transpires ............ please log in to view this image
