I heard a bit of booing, most likely just frustration more than vitriolic. I did think I heard some cheering when Cameron Stewart was substituted, but then there was a quick rendition of da da da da, Cameron Stewart. He was having a stinker though, and he needed to come off.

Had enough of 3 numptys sat in front of us last night (about 15-16 year olds) two of which were ginges .... taking the piss out of Cameron Stewart all the time, and from the 8th minute onwards saying get Josh King on. At half time the guy who has a season pass next to these seats even commented on them, saying what idiots they were. And then when Josh King came on - it was , Josh Kings ****!

    And Cisse.

I'd be on the phone with them now finding out what their plans were for Bothroyd and Campbell, because they seem to be 3rd choice in their respective roles now.

barmby said it was west stand upper, didnt hear any boos from where i was stood in the east.

i think the majority of fans obviously want whats best for the team, and are frustrated you can see we have a very solid team, but if only we had that clinical striker we'd be putting games like last night to bed thats what i find a bit frustrating.

i agree the players are trying and the efforts there as well as some good football, just seems like it fizzles out a bit in the final third, and were restricted to the edge of our opponents 18 yard box hence koren as our most likely source of goals, on any other night he'd of scored, had 4 great openings. i still think we lack somebody who can unlock a defence and create proper clear cut chances ie through balls regulary a barry bannan or george boyd type, but bringing one of those in youd probably have to sacrifice koren. also fryatt cancels himself out alot by dropping for the ball to feet constantly leaving nothing in the 18 yard box to get onto crosses, balls in etc but i think these type of players will arrive in the summer.

putting it into perspective did anybody think we'd be 5th at this stage, i didnt, a playoff spot would be a success. one more summer of transfer activity and i think we' l see a more complete tigers team just have to be patient, is kinda hard knowing were so close

I really don't understand all this we need a proven goalscorer lark. Where are these players , there are only three players in the championship who have scored more than ten goals this season.

We have two players each on eight goals and the best defence outside the top flight and yet fans are screaming for millions to be spent on strikers .
People need to stop take a deep breath and think, if we match our results from the first half of the season we will be right in the mix come may.

im not condoning booing , but people need to get over the fact that we where once 92nd in the football league..
weve moved on, a long way on and times and expectations are different, thats life, just being grateful we arent 92nd anymore isnt the way it works in reality.

Jason Roberts would be cheap, Blackburn have come out and said they can't afford to keep him on his current wages, and Reading are paying them in full..... that doesn't sound cheap.

I heard the boo's and i sit literally three rows behind Nick Barmby.

WOW from one extreme to another... it doesn't ****ing matter, anyone booing a team in the playoffs spot is an embarrassing human being, never mind football fan! ESPECIALLY, a team that created almost 20 chances and didn't concede a goal. It's absolutely laughable to have any excuse for booing.

That's obviously exactly the booers point though, we created 20 chances and didn't score against a far poorer team, when the game should have been won 3-0. Anyway, I very much doubt the booing was based on one game.. the Crawley match didn't help their case.

Once again I'd like to point out I didn't boo myself, I'm just providing an explanation :emoticon-0103-cool:

do you know what condoning means? or the word not?

im just sick of people saying, even if we finish mid table, it doesnt matter as we where 92nd in the football league once! thats irrelevant to this situation and this season

    Seriously, how many times?

Roberts has joined Reading on an 18 month permanent contract following their takeover by a billionaire. Of course they're paying his wages in full. He's their player and they're owned by a billionaire, and he's not going to sign on cheap wages elsewhere when he's still got 6 months left of his good wages.

PRIOR TO THAT TAKEOVER he would have been cheap because there was no other interest. Blackburn were running down the last year of his contract with him sat in the stands. If we'd offered them around £10-12k a week towards his wages, like our higher earners (excluding the obvious) are going to be getting they would have been quite happy to loan him to us for the rest of the season. Even with a loan fee you'd have been looking to commit less than half a million. We'd be happy with a good striker, they'd be happy at saving a few hundred grand and not having to deal with the whole situation any more, and Roberts would be with us, getting game time to try and earn himself a contract either with us or with somebody else for next season.
