Abeid has played them twice already...

Since cabayes appeal seems to have failed i would say that playing abeid tonight would make sense seeing as he's already played against them twice this season and got some good press for his performances in both.

i wouldn't be surprised to seeing perch defensive midfield though if colo is back, maybe even Raylor.

 

Can't see Perch playing in CM as Pardew won't want to risk him with injury. Would love to Abeid or Raylor in there but I can see Gosling starting unfortunately.

I'd prefer to give Vukic game time. He's got a more attacking instinct about him and could fit nicely behind Ben Arfa and Best to get the attacks going.

I just think that we ought to play guthrie and abeid for a bit more continuity, by all means bring vuckic on when guthrie starts fading in the second half but i'd rather perch didn't play in mid because if he gets injured or suspended then theres literally no cover for defence.

 

Perch has been pretty much faultless as a DM to be fair.

He improves the further away he gets from our goalline.

He'll be a 20+ goals per season striker soon.

Vuckic is NOT a CM at all, he plays the Ben Arfa role and not very well either. He needs to be loaned down to a championship team, he's not ready for this league yet.

Would love to see little Fergie get some game time at some point! Looked the most lively player on the pitch when he came on against Brighton, nobody was there to convert his perfect crosses though!

 

And Gosling has looked OK this season, he seems to find himself in the right place at the right time, very Kevin Nolan esque. Unlucky not to get a goal against Sunderland, scored against Man City and I think he narrowly missed again against Chelsea.

 

Yep, offers nothing in midfield except a goal threat from time to time.

If Givet plays at left-back i'd rather see Obertan play RM as his pace will trouble him. Samba will most probably start so it would be pointless playing Raylor RM as he would be used to cross the ball in for Best, who will not out jump Samba.
