<peacedove>Congratulations to Liverpool players for getting all the points against Wolves yesterday.I wish Creig Bellamy
is capable of playing in every game.So far he has been the signing of the season. Gerard was rested and it gave opportunity for
Spearing to show what he can do in the middle of the pack.Spearing was up to the task.
Wellcome back Luis Suarez, and he is available for the game against Tottenham on Monday night.Tottenham rubbished us at
White Hart Lane earlier in the season, though we had players sent off.Tottenham also won at Anfield last season, they are on 49 points and we are on 38 points 11 points ahead of us.
It is a must win game for Liverpool, and I strongly believe we can do it.
Once again, I congratulate all the players for playing very well against Wolves.:emoticon-0103-cool:

You've played well in pretty much every game against one of the other top 6 apart from us, although that game came when we only had 3 points and outsiders could've been forgiven for dismissing us.

I think it'll be one of the better games this season, as has been mentioned, you need to win. If you don't follow up an impressive win against Wolves with another result, you're back to square one and the top 4 slips still further away. Bale is showing a ruthless accuracy at the moment and if Modric gets control of the tempo of the game, it's going to be a very long night for you. That said, Gerrard's the kind of player that can raise the game of everyone around him and if Suarez hits the ground running after returning from his ban, it will be a tough night for ourselves.

bellamy played 90mins... i'll be shocked if he plays from the start... maybe i'm wrong.

    i'd go 4-4-2 here.

carroll has done well or at least better so if we take him out for suarez i think it'll destroy the progress.

I'd bring in suarez then sub him on 60mins for bellamy if he looks tired or whatever.

kuyt should start again after delivering a fine performance and we CANNOT play a 4-3-3 and expose johnson to bale.

    Reina
    johnson skertl agger enrique
    kuyt henderson gerrard downing
    suarez carroll

spearing could play but if i had a choice between destroying carrolls new found confidence and shoring up v the spuds I can tell you what i'd go do... of course kenny will be wiser and will pick a team to win I just think the only questions are downing, gerrard, carroll and formation. 4-5-1 = drop carroll.. will gerrard be fit? would you play adam v the spuds

I am kind of assuming like i think most are suarez will be straight back in.

I'd be tempted to keep the same apart from Suarez for Bellamy, however, I'd set it up different, going 4-1-4-1 with Carroll up on his own, and Suarez nominally on the left mid when not in possession, Kuyt chained to Bale, and Spearing sitting on Modric. As soon as we get the ball, Suarez and Kuyt advance to support Carroll...

    No its 3 <confused>

    Id go with

    Reina
    Kelly Skrtel Agger Jose
    Spearing Adam
    Gerrard
    Bellamy Carroll Suarez

and it would be 433 and not 451

The reasons why 433, to push Spurs full backs back,,sometimes they almost play like wingers meaning they have lots of possesion. This formation also creates uncertainty in the Spurs back line

Which CB picks up Carroll?? Do the CBs pick up Suarez Bellamy or is it the FBs??,it would put doubt in the Spurs defences mind, they would be sort of inbetwix/inbetween

Hendo and Dirk are both playin well and will probably play, but I want us to be really aggressive, and that front 3 would scare the sh*t out of the spurs back line.I would pick Adam and not Hendo just purely for his left foot in the inside left channel is better served to provide chances for big Andy, and Jay just protects the back 4.Kelly in for Johnson as hes a slightly better defender and it gives us that real strength from corners, free kicks, with Carroll,Kelly,Agger,Skrtel in the box against one of the PLs shortest teams

We'll have a right back this time, which we didn't have last time round - that should make a huge difference.

Yes, I remember that Martin Skrtel played as a right back.In his previous game as right back he did well, but this one was
    a disaster.<ok><confused>

Bale doesn't spend that much time on the left wing anymore so he'll be difficult to pick up. The last thing Skrtel will want is Bale running at him again so that will probably be exactly what he'll do.

I think 4-3-3 is not going to work as we tried that and utterly flopped especially with nobody bothering covering fully backs.

in a 4-3-3 the midfielder nominally elft or right needs to cover over to the full back but can yuo see adam and gerrard doing so? I can't

i think bale and lennon would be 1 on 1 with our full backs al lday and that'd be very bad.

    for me. 4-5-1 or 4-4-2

kuyt wide right in either case and downing wide left.

bellamy i think will start o nthe bench so its either carroll and suarez up top or all carrolls confidence shattered by the drop for suarez.

hendo spearing and gerrard in the middle.

    .................Reina...............
    Johnson.Skrtel.Agger.Enrique
    ......Spearing...Henderson....
    Kuyt........Gerrard.......Suarez
    ...............Carroll................

    Bench
Doni, Downing, Adam, Coates, Kelly, Bellamy, Sterling

The way I see it, as I said above, we need to nullify Bale and stop Modric playing - do that and the Spuds are dead in the water, as there'll be no supply to VDV or Adebayor...

Ya St. I like the look of that, Bellers in for Kuyt if we want to go for it ( or suarez if tired) and Adam can come on with fresh legs and (hopefully) his proper passing boots on <ok>
