Dear God so you're now saying anyone who doesn't think along the same lines as yourself is wrong?????? Take a step back bonny lad and think about that!
I know what you mean syd, sometimes it can boil my p*ss the amount of comments regarding players being this an that which is fair enough but there also seems to be a section that carry this on to the stands which tbh would not install confidence in any player. Every one is entitiled to their opinion but if a player is not doing the buisseness it's up to the manager to either get rid or have a word as when they are on the field we should get behind them. How many times have we heard this guy or that guy's crap only to hear later we will be alright when the same player gets back in the side. Sometimes you have to take a step back and remember where we have come from and the improvement we have made. We also have to be realistic about our future ambitions and how to achive them.
Not at all. I am wrong all the time, I am also a hypocrite, I can easily take both sides of an argument, i don't think there are many right answers to any question. what I am saying is that people who use “well its just my opinion” as an argument have lost.
thats a bit rich coming after you after article about not attending tommorows game. Especially after 2 defeats since MONs time in charge..
I'm glad I'm not the only one who is sick and tired of some of the negativity being shown against our signings but let's give them a chance to settle down here, play a few games, and see what they can do. They may surprise some of the Doubting Thomas's but, if not, then start slagging them off but not before they have had a chance to prove themselves.
And they are in all probability the ones who boo the team at home games when things dont go their way, shame on them.
I reckon I got all the moaning out of my system with Brucie. I'm certainly not moaning about two players who can fill in problem positions for us till the end of the season at little cost. Wise moves, I think, especially as Bridge has probably more to prove than any other player in the division. A former England international with a PL winners medal on his sideboard, now being treated like a lump of s**t - jesus! I think he'll probably graft his guts out for us. I share syd's frustration at not fixing the striker problem a bit, though MON did try for Davies. But that was always going to be difficult. We didn't want an expensive long-term deal because the Gyan thing is still hanging over our heads till summer. So we were left with trawling around for a loan, or a cheapie coming towards the end of his career like Davies. Not easy because if a club is going to part with a good striker, they want to sell for a high January price. Loaning him out is no use to them. Martin did his best, and that's all we can ask of anyone. I feel o.k. about it.
I have to admit, I was one of those who posted a comment saying I thought the signings to be terrible, after a night to reflect on the new lads I'm still of the same opinion. I do hope the new lads prove me wrong and do really well for us, and help us climb the table.
I agree - we all wanted a new LB, CB and CF and we got two of those. Bridge if he knuckles down can be a lot better than Ricco at LB and Sotirios Kyrgiakos has the potential to be better than Turner and Bramble - (I still think Brown and O'shea are the best CB pairing though). Therefore all in all a move forward - sort of!
I doubt there will be much wrong with the two new guys brought in and probably there will be a lot right, a LB has been needed for ages, anne with injuries a CB is required, simple as! However I just hope that the failure to get a striker in, a position more in need than LB or CB does not result in dire consequences. I guess MoN only started looking when Bendtner was injured and Whickham showed he was still work in progress. Is Frazier and Ji our only fit forwards now? We still need 14 points for safety.
