    Had this conversation with people at work today and, aside from the ridicule that comes with signing heskey I don't actually think he'd be that bad for a short term solution. He's played twice under o'neill and knows his system and the premier league, so he could come in straight away without having to adjust.
    He's got a better goal record the davies as well.
    I remember everyone laughed when we signed titus, but sexual deviencey aside he's been a decent signing, so theres no reason why heskey couldn't do a job for us.

    FFS how many more anti Heskey posts can we all write?

    You know what's really amusing? The term donkey Heskey.

    This so called donkey has played over 400 games in the top flight only and for clubs such as Liverpool and Villa and 50 or so caps for England. He is respected by his contemporaries ane praised by his peers ane is the one forward the likes of Owen, Shearer and Rooney hold as one of the best they have played with.

    He may not be the one everyone wants but **** me, the lad deserves a bit of respect. He isn't a donkey.

    b) even when he was good, he was only average

    c) he hasn't even been average for 3 years now.

    Lineker had a great career, we shouldn't sign him either.

    I wont name call but I don't want him, I don't really want Davis either but can see as a short term solution he would be ok.

    I think its sad that we have gone from Jones, Cisse, Bent, Welbeck and Gyan to Heskey or Davis. I know its a stop gap but I really hope in the summer we go back to looking for genuine quality.

    To the original cest,I know you are a huge Martin fan,but if he does sign the donkey,is he right??How many goals does Heskey score??Not a lot,but it matters not a jot as no-one knows if Martin wants to sign Emile.

    Heskey would be a shrewd move, he'll score more than Maradona, sorry, Bendtner!!

    If Hensley signs and goes straight into the team then it obv. Shows MoN doesn't think much of Ji and Wickham.

    Heskey a donkey? Rather have a ******* donkey upfront, one of the worst players to play over 100games in the prem
