How much have we spent so far?
    Cisse £4.18m
    Zamora £4m
    Onuoha £4m

total c.£12m (yet to be confirmed)

That's a lot, and the personal terms we may not find out, but you can bet the wages will be fairly hefty. Contract lengths am unsure of at this stage, but coupled with Taiwo and Diakite's wages represents an enormous commitment from the club.
What I would like to know is who's funding this, and why, and for how long?

I think you have to look at the view of that these signings will keep us up in my opinion, and how much that is worth to the club, isnt it around £40million? so the investment of around £15million could be a worthy one

We complain when we spend nothing and complain when we spend a bit of money. As above staying up is worth a lot more so Fernandez and Bhatia are taking a calculated risk for a club they are both very passionate about. It is imperative we stay up though no matter who says otherwise.

Is it ok if you worry for the both of us twins? :)

I've waited to long for this to look at the dark side of it. But I support your questions 100% <ok>

But until TF and Bhatia/Mittal give me reason to doubt them I won't.

Let's be positive for a while eh? As previously said....if we stay up we get 40 million. Investment and return. Also, Mittal must be behind a lot of this and the money we're talking about is small change to him!

Let's be clear, like everyone on here I'm delighted with the new additions and can't wait to see them in action and hopefully going on a winning streak. But I'm also concerned, as we all should be for our future and would like to feel that in say 3 to 5 years time if our current owners decide to move on that we won't be saddled with a huge debt we weren't fully aware of.Sadly there are enough precedents around to tell us that it's not beyond the bounds of possibility.
It's not a question of using terms like positive or negative, it's about clarity, and we don't have that about our funding at the moment.
It is an important question and one we will have to explore more fully when the euphoria of transfer day has passed.

It's a very fair question, twins. I've asked myself the same. Could we become a Portsmouth? The tentative conclusion I have reached is that our owners are not the fly-by-nights that Portsmouth was saddled with, and we were with the Goons. They don't have a history of dabbling with football clubs. It's my hope that the QPR name and brand becomes synonymous with Fernandes and the Mittals (and if one bails, the other takes over). It's business of course, but it's also personal to them too. Their name linked. They take, create and integrate into their empires worldwide but particularly Asia. That is my hope.

Ive been accused of being negative because i dont want to be saddled with PL versions of Agyemang, Vine, Cook etc but on 60k instead of 10k. The average age of our forwards has to be about 32 which is a worry and people being happy with anyone just because they are better than what we have. I bet they were saying that about DJ and JB 6 months ago but now we cant get rid of them because no one will take them on the contract they have.

Cisse was signed on a 2 1/2 year contract. Doubt very much that we spent over 4 million on him for this length of contract. Also at 30 he is now in his prime. We should get the best out of him.

There's no way we will pay him 90k a week!! That's why the talks have stalled.
