Amit has confirmed talks with Zamora and that is the last of our dealings.

So no Tevez, no Kranjcar, no Pienaar and sadly, NO DEFOE!

Not a bad haul overall. Should be enough to keep us up.

Five players signed, three on loan with options to buy and a total of £7 million in fees. Looks like a sensible approach not throwing money at players for the sake of it. I'm a little concerned at the lack of creativity, but guess either Buz or Adel will take on that role. Overall, I think we're looking more like a PL team now and, hopefully, we'll have enough quality to survive...

Wow, this has been up 10 minutes without anyone turning their noses up at Bobby!!

(I, for one, recon he'll do well for us)

But, if true, it leaves us with the Adel connumdrum again. I think most assumed he'd be playing just off Cisse, but if Zamora takes his place, and we have Traore (sp) on the left, where do we put him?

I still think a big name will be dashing towards Loftus road at 10.45 tonight as JP did last window... Well we can dream

On the right ahead of SWP and Mackie? I dont see Adel play up front or off anyone in a 442 so that leaves only the wing.

    Well, if it's a short-arsed swarthy Argie with a face like a well-slapped arse I don't think anyone will be complaining...

Can Adel adapt to do the creative midfield role in 4-4-2? I suppose we'll find out.

Sorry, you'll have to narrow it down a bit. That covers all the men and 85% of the married women.... :)

zamora will be a good signing for rangers, he will hold the ball up and bring in other players, will not be prolific but hes assists are very good, can be tempermental if any fan gives him stick, he will give it the quiet finger when he scores,

Is Zamora really the last signing, or is that just Sky saying it because they don't know what's going on?

Do we really need more at this stage? It will be hard enough integrating what we have (half a team FFS). MH has done some excellent business IMO but the real effort is now on the training ground.

BTW, do we now have more African internationals than any other PL side?

Adel will probably be on the bench.

so if we go 4-4-2 as is suggested by Mark Hughes last few games could it be something like this.

    Kenny
    Young Ferdinand Onouha Taiwo
    SWP Barton Diakite/Buz Taarabt
    Cisse Zamora.

But have taarabt coming in off the left wing if you see what i mean. So he diverts into a more left attacking midfield position rather than a left winger. With Taiwo on the cover and having Diakite, Barton or Buzz on the cover in case we lose possession. Get taarabt working slightly harder going back and were look decent IMO

Let's hope our team has changed somewhat before the next ACON or we will be in real doo doo.
