I think what we all need is a signing to fire our imaginations and give us hope for next season. Somebody for midfield, or a libero for our central defence. Somebody who can really make a difference
I'd settle for a million for him to be honest, better than getting nothing at all for him in the Summer. It also gets him the move to a high(ish) profile team who are bound for the Prem, and gets him off of our wage bill, and most importantly leaves the rest of the squad to focus on staying up.
I've been expecting Nicky to goto WHU all season. I found it very telling how "chummy" he was with their manager after the 0-0 draw, I expect this one to happen.
So Nicky will get his dream move to the Premiership after all with the Premiership side West Ham....oh, hang on... Looks like he has had a reality check, instead of mulling over all the offers flooding in, deciding which side of Manchester to go to, or whether he would prefer Stamford Bridge over the Emirates as he seemed to be holding out for, he has had to gamble between a team in the Premiership but likely not to be next season, or a team in the Championship which may (or may not) go up. Although turning down Fester City earlier in the season was a good decision from his point of view.
Sky Sports understands Birmingham City have made an enquiry to sign Swansea forward Stephen Dobbie. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11694/7467741/Blues-move-for-Dobbie
i think its a good move for him personally, west ham are certain to go up and they will be on a high when they return to the premier league
With Southampton buying Sharp the number of clubs who have been linked with him recently who may come in for him are getting smaller in number all the time.
Have to agree with Shiny, probably the only club in the championship who'd be of interest to NM, hope the club has the sense to have a clause stopping him playing against us this season.
BBc report he's at Upton Park having talks,so fingers crossed.I don't wish Nicky any ill will as he has done his best (imo) all of the time.
sky sports reporting maynards having a medical as we speak, looks like fee's been agreed as have personal agreements, hes gone
