did they really just let Sanctuaire go off at 13/8 against that lot? Frustrated when I saw the result, had it as an odds on shot.

I had some intermittent problems but haven't seen anything reported as a general problem. I've raised the question to see if I can get any news.

Site is bad for me too.

Dildar was OK. Nothing more nothing less. If you fancied him for the Triumph already then you probably still do. If you didn't before then no reason to change your stance.

But more importantly, Sanctuaire! Wowee! That was impressive. Really enjoyed watching him. <cheers>

He's clearly good and did it easily enough in the end. Just his jumping was a bit novicey and will need to improve. He now goes to the Adonis and that will tell us more. I got the impression that connections were happy enough with him.

The double on Mr Henderson’s Sistine and Fourth Estate landed at 13.4/1. Hope the old regular readers were on. Once again today proves that you can’t beat Mr Henderson – the best trainer under each and every code.

Meanwhile, the ‘Queen and country’ brigade will be happy as now Ascot have mirrored Cheltenham and will be putting the words ‘Diamond Jubilee’ into a race title. And people wonder why this is called ‘Broken’ Britain. Dear, oh dear...

    At last a winning bet.jpg

First daily winning bet in ages and I couldn't even log on before hand to post it! Blooming transfer deadline day <laugh>. I will never be able to compete with some of the gurus on here but for anyone who's looked at my daily selections recently and thought wtf is this guy on, finally I land one and at a nice price to boot :D

    Provocative piece.

I would be very much in the HF corner if both ran over 20f...no brainer really. He has G1 winning form over that trip and would be much too quick for BB who only runs over 3m because he is too slow for the CH.

I know that will upset a lot of his fan club but it is true. The flat spot he hits over 3m would be his death knell against proper oppositon over a shorter trip.

Would be great to test the theory but highly unlikely to happen.

Sanctuaire very impressive - the forgotten novice chaser maybe ?

Ron - I've had access problems today, constant freezing, glad I'm not alone as I feared it may be an IT hitler purge....

    Gorgeous stuff George

I backed this one of Stick's last night at 14/1 but there have been horses pulled out today. Am I subject to a rule 4 deduction in the event of any winnings?
