It's a pain in the ass, but it pays the bills. Want any insulation? Hopefully I can blag some kind of "targeted number of sales & go home" - my manager is a Cardiff fan... never know which way it'll go with that lot!
True, haha I'm ok thanks mate! Yeah, worth a shot, can always have one earphone in with the game on and the other ear on the blower!
AVBs made some mistakes this season ( mainly the high line ) but his still a quality manager and will get better with experience, don't forget his only been a actual football manager for 3 years lol. I think he came into the league this season thinking it was still the same quality as when he was assistant to mourinho but it's not, it's much more competitive, faster and harder and there is no easy games or guarantees. 4 years ago you could of looked at a match vs someone like wigan or wolves and said easy 3 points but thats not the case anymore
With respect imo if we beat Chelsea it would be a bigger result to us, and the fickle media than the Arsenal game. Swans 2 - 1 win.
Norway Jack, Think you might see that David Luiz has improved considerably as the season has gone on. Getting the home fan boofheads off his back is one reason, the other simply more game time and understanding. Boswinga gets too much stick as well, not a world beater , but rarely our worst player. Cahill, who knows ?? His lack of game time with Luiz may be a problem, as was the case with Luiz and Terry initially. Either way, best of luck, you have a manager who gets everything from his players, and likes attractive football. A rare combination.
Good comments on both sides. I think many goals,if we can keep our home performance going, then 2-2,and also if Chelsea have an off day 3-1.I know ifs and buts, but it is down to us playing home to try to take full advantage. We need a good performance from our 11 and some luck to get a win.Best of luck, hoping for a good game.
just me or anyone else read this in Bryn from gavin and staceys voice? GL to the Swans great fans, hopefully do us a favour also!
I'm not looking forward to this game... I see a loss here. We are struggling to get goals and with that defence I can no way see us keeping a clean sheet. Whenever I think we will do well, we are poor, so maybe it's a good attitude to expect nothing from this game?
Be interesting to see how possession works out as both teams like to keep the ball. I fancy us to be honest, we have been limp going forward of late but Swansea haven't got a great defence and there will be plenty of chances to counter attack with sturridge and Torres and Mata running at full pelt there will be chances. Better this than playing park the bus merchants like Norwich and QPR where we struggled to break them down. This game will be much more open and our quality should tell.
Oh, Drogs, the Swans will probably lineup something like this; Vorm Rangel Taylor Williams Monk Britton Allen Sigurdsson Dyer Sinclair Graham
We may have a pants defensive record on the road but at home we're a different beast! So far it's (at home) Won 5, Drawn 5, Lost 1 - Scoring 15 and conceding 6! Don't get me wrong I know that's not bucketfuls of goals, but it's not bad defensively! Also, John Hollins thinks we'll win! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16802910.stm We've only picked up 2 points less at home than you have! That's incredible! Who needs away form...
Which when placed against our awful home record this season as opposed to our usual fortress those figures don't look so glossy.
I'm expecting a really hard game which could go either way. If we're not on the top of our game I think we'll be punished by our quality opponents. I can see Torres scoring in this one if Chelsea score :/. Fingers crossed and let's hope that we give a good account of ourselves what ever the result! Have a safe journey down you blues and I hope your journey back is a really miserable one
It'll be a tough game no doubt but we are really due a big performance and some goals. I'm going to stick my neck out and go for a cheeky 1-3.
Chelsea at home, wow, along with Arsenal, Spurs, Manure, who would have thought this 10 years ago. Still seems unbelievable after all the woes of years gone by. If we get anything from this game, I`ll be delighted. A win is possible, but we`ll have to be at our best and not make any mistakes, if we do, you can bet that the Blues will take advantage. Win lose or draw, let`s have a good game and the better team wins, I hope that`s us.
Nice to see Swans fans being a bit more optimistic than usual. We can finish in at least 8th position.
Breaking News: It is official Chelsea FC confirm signing of Kevin De Bruyne from Genk on Chelsea website. De Bruynes full interview with Chelsea tv is on website as well.
i think 6-0 chelsea, its a very important game for villas boas considering the next one is united, they will certainly not take this game lightly considering swanseas home record, chelsea perhaps still arent playing like villas boas wants them to play, but they are still effective and can score goals for fun on their day, i think torres will score at least 2 in this game
