http://www.squeakybumtime.com/premiership/3456/qpr-loan-bid-for-tevez-still-on/ Sources inside Loftus Road have reignited the chance of Manchester City outcast Carlos Tevez joining QPR on-loan until the end of the season. Reports had suggested earlier in the month that Tevez was keen on joining up with former manager Mark Hughes in west-London but QPR, despite their riches, were unable to fund the deal on a permanent basis. Hughes had thrown in the towel on a six-month-loan deal also because of the likelihood that Tevez would have found another club by the end of the window. However, AC Milan have failed in their bid to lure the player from his current nightmare at City and it is looking like the £200,000 per week Tevez will be left to rot in the reserves at City for the remainder of the season. Not a scenario the player and his club would be happy with. City arenât keen on allowing their player to leave on loan either as they would end up compensating a lot of his salary in that time, but allegedly Hughes is trying to convince their board that loaning the player to another Premier League team like Rangers could actually enhance Cityâs title ambitions. Not only would QPR benefit from Tevezâs goals, City could as it is likely that he could do some damage to their title-rivals whilst playing for the Hoops. Tevez and recently acquired QPR boss Hughes formed a strong working relationship at Manchester City when Hughes was manager and have kept in contact over the past year as they have the same Chairman Tony Fernandes. If no permanent deal for the player can be agreed, and that is looking increasingly possible with PSG and AC Milan stalling, then a loan move might be the only option left for City. With QPR and Hughes are ready to strike.
yes, cerny, please enlighten us with your infinite wisdom. still wouldn't be overly surprised if this happened.
I thought you might say that! I was thinking on exactly the same lines, but didn't want to lead the conversation. Harry will only let QPR have the players that he wants to leave, hence I can see the pieces of the jigsaw falling in place if he swoops for Tevez. Harry loves a deadline day bargain. He very nearly bagged and Charlie Adam and Gary Cahill and on a whim snagged Rafael Ferdinand van der Vaart at lastminute.com
would they really let him go to another (albeit unlikely) title contender? then there's spurs wage structure.
There's no way City will let Tevez go to Spurs or Liverpool who they would see as title and potential Champions League rivals. We are in a handy position if any sort of loan could be done...
Tin hat time tomorrow; incoming 'friendly fire' imminent me thinks. In the style of Kevin Keegan...... 'I would love it...... if we signed Tevez...... or Defoe!'
'Cerny spotters' - a great analogy; all seeking out the rarest collectors item of them all, the lesser spotted 'done deal'.
Holloway didn't want him to go to spurs due to James beatties agent touting him to harry ! I know beatties agent well and he knows he messed the spurs move up for him!
