Cisse has a very impressive scoring record, but for some reason Lazio have stuck him on the wing, hence no goals.

Assuming Cisse signs and there are no more left field targets, then the papers are saying any of the following as of this moment:

Samba (although MH says no?)
Bassong
Pienaar
Rodellaga
Giroud

Samba, pienaar and giroud would do nicely. Have any clubs signed three players on deadline day in the past?

Thought we only signed Anton and SWP so I'm now thinking it's logistically impossible to sign three players on the one day. Time will tell.

Bolton bidding for Wilfried Zaha, believed to be to low at the moment though. Hope we're in for him, great prospect. Odds are as follows: Bolton 2/1, QPR 8/1.

If we are serious of youth development, what about offering Ravel Morrison a way out of Man United? We're a longshot in the marked with odds at 33/1. As far as I understand he's rated as the biggest talent in England but having trouble on several issues in Manchester.

Cheers Seahoop <ok>

Rangers will attempt to capture Tevez

30/01/2012
by David McIntyre

QPR are planning a pre-deadline attempt to capture Carlos Tevez.

Manchester City want to sell the Argentine but a proposed move to AC Milan has failed to materialise, and interest from Inter Milan and French club Paris St-Germain also came to nothing.

Tevez, who played under R’s boss Mark Hughes at City and has the same agent as the Welshman, strongly favours a move to Italy.

Hughes says he has very little chance of being reunited with the 27-year-old. But with Tevez’s future still unresolved, there is likely to be an approach from Rangers.

City have insisted they are not interested in a loan deal for Tevez, who is involved in an acrimonious dispute with the Premier League leaders and has refused to return from South America.

But with the end of the transfer window looming, Hughes will look to capitalise on the situation by trying to persuade his former club that their title challenge would be helped by Tevez ending the season in west London.

“It is unlikely to be perfectly honest, as much as I would like it to happen,” he said.

“If he did go he could play against teams and could possibly help Man City win the league. That’s the only thing you’d think they’d be attracted by.”

Hughes has hinted there will be no deadline-day effort to prise Chris Samba away from Blackburn.

Rangers have had previous approaches for Samba rejected and are keen to play down the prospect of a last-ditch effort to convince Rovers to sell the centre-back, who has made it clear he wants to leave.

But there may well be a follow-up bid for Hugo Rodallega.

Wigan have indicated that they are willing to sell the Colombian forward, whose contract expires in the summer. Fulham have also expressed an interest in him.

Hughes is keen to sign at least one forward and will speak to Djibril Cissé, whose move from Lazio has been agreed in principle.

The former Liverpool man wants to return to England and although Hughes initially doubted he would be able to sign him, a deal is now close.
