So we'll leave the bickering about whether we do need a player for the other threads. Let's for arguments sake say we have a couple of million to buy one player tomorrow. Who would you buy? Don't want any vague stuff like "a lower division striker" or "a big man". Names please! We'll say Billy Sharp is out of the equation because he's going to help disrupt Southampton's season (fingers crossed).

I'm going to be boring and say Adam Hamill. Absolutely perfect signing. Great set piece delivery, long range shooting threat and great work on the ball in open play.

Leave out the bickering and let everyone have their say. Go!!

If I could have anybody at the moment, in the price bracket of 2m, it'd be Gianluca Sansone. He currently plays in Serie B for Sassuolo and is a real goalscoring talent. He started in the Italian non league with Valle de Giovenco and was quickly spotted by scouts at Siena as they looked to bolster their squad for the upcoming Serie A campaign. Unfortunatley, he couldn't break into the first team and was subsequently loaned out to Gallipoli (where he had no impact at all) and then Lanciano, where he was played as a winger and a striker. He managed 9 goals in all competitions (6 in the league) as Lanciano were relegated to the Italian Non league divisions. Upon his return Siena, he found the club relegated and himself transfer listed as the club tried to balance itself out and he was snapped up by Frosinone, again in Serie B. Played just behind the lone striker, he managed 10 league goals as the club avoided relegation. He was then sold to Sassuolo, where he plays jsut behind targetman Richmond Boayake.

The lad has talent, no doubt about it; Sassuolo have spent years in the middle of Serie B and are now top (as of this week anyway), in no small part down to Sansone's goals. He can play in midfield (anywhere across the middle or on the right), as a second striker or up front on his own. Top player.

Honestly would love him. We need another option up front. This is obvious. He scores goals in a poor team. He gave us a hard time in the home leg, without scoring ok,but who does scare our defence ?

What would he cost us, any one know ?

He might eat a lot of pies; but Jon Parkin. Did well during his time at City and is the type of player Mr Fryatt likes playing alongside. On loan at Huddersfield and in both of the games I've watched with them on Sky Sports he's been benched instead of Alan Lee. £600,000?

With the £1.4 million left. A cheeky bid for Tommy Smith at QPR?

It's hard to disagree with Hamill, Henderson or Miller. All good ideas. I don't understand why no one has made a move for Henderson yet, it can't be that hard to prise him away from Milwall?
