I don't want us to buy average players, would prefer we bought no one. But seeing Honda go for close to 10mill was disappointing, that lad's class. I hope we don't miss out on Barrios too

Mirror reporting we'd like Tevez on loan. Probably a load of rubbish but, as has been said here a few times, it would be a decent idea.
We are no danger to City, and he could actually help us beat their rivals. If we offer to take on his wages for the remainder of the season too, it's a deal they'd be silly to turn down. Puts him in the shop window, gets him out of their club.

loan would be good, buying, not so much. Take him on loan, let him do his magic, and peace out to AC with Aquilani in the summer.

My thoughts exactly. Clearly nobody wants to buy him (AC have offered a loan to buy deal...we know how they work out in Italy) so we're as good a place as anywhere for him to go. City have nothing to gain sending him out on loan to another league, and everything to gain sending him to us. AC can't beat Spurs, Chelsea, or United, whereas we have the opportunity to do so. He'd help us do that.

Bolton have bid "north of £3million" for Crystal Palace's Wilfred Zaha. If they get him for less than £5mil they have done very well and I really think we should be in for player's like this.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has revealed Kenny Dalglish requested his side's game with Liverpool be postponed by 24 hours due to the Reds' potential business in the transfer window - but he refused.

"North of 3" would suggest between 3 and 4. They won't get him for that. Palace will be holding out for 10+, particularly when you think of the likes of Oxlade Chamberlain who had never played at Championship level.

How will all this work tomorrow btw? Don't players need to be there to sign or is there an extension during games? And how the hell can they play in a game and fly in a helicopter at the same time?

Tevez is currently in dispute with City and still pining for a move to AC Milan, but the Italian giants – and all other interested parties – are unwilling to commit to a full-time deal. So Liverpool have joined the queue of interested parties who would take Tevez on loan, paying his £200,000-a-week wages in the process at the cost of around £5million in rent.

5 million?? For 3 and half months he makes 5 mil in wages? ffs.....

    That's ****ing outrageous.

The business model of complete idiots if it does happen, as we can't assume it'll get us CL football next year.

Plus the fact Tevez is a ****ing moron.

Wouldn't mind having Mascherano back for a loan spell while Lucas is out. He hardly set La Liga alight and we need someone with legs to cover for Lucas as Carragher probably can't hold that position for the rest of the season.

yeah but on the flip side, if we were to get Tevez and he played a cruicial role in us getting top 4 then it would be seen as a stroke of genius

£20m-£35m for CL qualification on the back of a £5m investment is pretty good.

On saying this I would prefer a more permanent solution. Cavani being the obvious choice

I agree. Tevez is a short termist and won't stay at any club for too long unless it is near Argentina. So why don't we use him for a change and get the best out of him for a few months.

Champions League football is so important and we can then attract better players like Cavani.

what are the thoughts on the summer and this window?

The euros are on this summer so value in those terms might be quite poor. We can pick up south americans or africans or someone form asia but will the Euros ebing on compress the chances of getting value now?

and so should we have been trying to buy... given kenny's thoughts that he's happy with the effort so far I'm a bit surprised.

    Examples...

maxi needs to go and a young guy needs to come in for that wage.... thats improve us but i guess there's no shifting maxi until this summer (no legs guys)

spearing has a bit to prove ebtween now and may, he's been in and out and at his age he needs to do more. Can he prove a squad memebr or is he the equivilant of gibson at utd?

Kuyt, striker, right wing? where to play. should we sell?

Do we have a squad position open for another forward in the mind of the manager?
