Anyone heading to Ewood on Wednesday? Personally, I always have mixed feelings about games against Blackburn, especially away. On a positive, the atmosphere is always brilliant as we are often given a relatively large allocation (especially when compared to some other clubs), and I actually don't mind the ground itself (it's a bit of a dump but for some reason that doesn't bother me).

On a negative we always seem to get turned over there, and as much as I want to feel positive about the game I can't help but feel we will end up with another defeat. After the Brighton debacle and with the possibility of Double Demba action, there should be scope for optimism with a more potent strike force and the rest of the lads with a point to prove after Sunday.

I'd personally like to see us really go for this game, Blackburn are nothing special and we should overpower them in midfield, but I foresee a cagey opening with Pards not wanting to concede early on. As much as Blackburn have been through the mire this season (and as I say, are nothing special), I do feel they have been unlucky in a number of matches this season and shouldn't be underestimated.

If anyone is going, I'll be in the pub being the ground from early doors. Hoping for a rare Ewood victory.

Depends on the team news for instance will Ba and Cisse play, will Coloccini be fit and will Cabaye get banned for the incident at Brighton. If all of these players are missing I fear a hammering, if they were all available we could nick a 2-1 win or something like that.

That would be a monumental kick in the balls, and, should all those hypothetical scenarios pan out negatively, I also fear another Ewood trouncing.

I have nightmares about that place, was there when we lost 3-0 under Kinnear and 3-1 the previous year. Been 4 times and only seen us get 1 point, a 2-2 draw when Souness was managing us.

I'm going to guess that Ba will start, Cisse won't be in the squad and Cabaye/Colo will also feature.

I'm going for either a draw or a 1-0/2-1 victory to us. Can never be sure though.

The thing is Kean won't keep winning. Hopefully Samba leaves and they give a similar performance as we did at Fulham last year after deadline day

Think Cabaye will get done, I would say Coloccini would be the only one to start hopefully.

Don't think Cabaye could be banned by Wednesday, unless he admitted any charge that was made. It's the end of the day Monday after all, and there is nothing except a runour that the FA might take an interest.

I would expect Ba to start, Cisse maybe get 20 minutes. No idea on Colocini, but Peerch was surprisingly good on Sunday. All we've missed recently is a bit of creativity and threat in hte box. Ba should provide that. Other than that we've been playing well enough, for all the results have been poor

I always have nightmares about Jason Roberts. He seems to turn into a world beater against us.

Not feeling confident for the same reasons you've stated. We never do well there. Think our last win there was when Oba scored that goal after their goalkeeper went up for a Blackburn corner.

Apparently we haven't sold out the away section although I'm not surprised. People will have paid fortunes for the trips to Fulham and Brighton and may just be a bit ****ed off for wasting their money now.

Yeah, especially have taken so many down there for a Wednesday night game in the League Cup. If I was going to any of those games personally I would have gone to Blackburn.

if we had Saylor I'd definitely say a win, but Willo and Colo vs Samba and Roberts kinda worries me as they can bully them around too easily.

Why Samba will be on strike and Roberts has signed for Reading.

Roberts signed for Reading and Yakubu is suspended so their pretty limited up front. Samba is of course still a major threat.
