Not defending Cabaye if he did that on purpose but it's clear their game plan involved kicking the **** out of him.

i can see why cabaye was frustrated he kept getting fouled in the game however he shouldn't have kicked out. although it is hypocritical of the f.a. as they didn't punish crouch yet see fit to give bans to ballotelli and possibly cabaye.

edit and fighting to get Rooney's ban reduced.

If Crouch doesn't get banned for poking someone in the eye which is very pathetic, then Cabaye shouldn't be either.

Ah. I can't honestly remember what their take on it was - i rarely pay attention to commentators. Presumably he thinks the same as me but I can assure you I am coming to my own conclusion.

Smudger is correct when he says that Cabaye was targetted by Brighton's players. He was bundled to the floor there and was obviously pissed off enough that he lashed out with his foot. I don't think he meant to catch him in the face but he clearly meant to lash out in frustration, much like I would slam my fist on the desk if my computer exploded while I was busy working or something. You can see in the video how pissed off he is and how he forces his leg out.

Ok maybe not then, but he just spent about 3 minutes moaning about it, but mentioned nothing that the Brighton players did wrong, apart from the handball incident.

I love how all our fans just refer to that defender as "the bald guy" or the "baldy bloke", like he doesn't deserve a name!

Yeah the guy did make a real meal of it. If a meat head like him can't take a scratch to the lip without rolling around on the floor then I may sob uncontrollably next time I cut myself shaving <laugh>.

Don't fancy our chances in the next few matches without him, we're kind of focused around him at the moment. However the FA tribunal won't be til Monday so this is pure supposition. We'll have to wait and see!
Saying that though this might stop him from getting wound up again, possibly getting sent off and costing us the match.

Difference is a kick is violent conduct, a foul can just be late or clumsy, not deliberate.

Can't believe people are saying Cabaye isn't that type of player, he clearly is.

Also, the FA didn't punish Rooney last year for elbowing that Wigan player, and this year he kicked Coloccini twice in front of the ref and Ben Arfa got booked for it.

i think it was more him extending his leg to stop the guy landing on him. watch the replay at 30 seconds

also that guy was acting like a dickhead all game playing the hard man. he only had a bust lip so there is no "kick/stamp" force otherwise he wouldn't have had teeth left. if this was an incident with say John Terry he would have got up and ran after the ball without complaint, but" hard case" there rolls around screaming like a girl.
