Well, I didn't see much of him vs Spurs, to be honest I turned the match off at half time, it was dreadful, but from what I saw, Marriapa had very little to do.

Does anyone have a more complex view on the lad?

    Would he be worth buying?

No Watford can live to regret asking too much for an average 26 year old

You've spelt his name three different ways in one thread. <laugh>

No for me, I think he's carp and we should be signing quality players rather than stopgaps.

Don't know enough about him, but i'm cautious of signing lower league players.

Was going to think of something witty to say but there is no need <laugh>

No for me, don't need another James Perch.

I've not seen alot of the lad but trust out scouts, they've done a great job for us for the past couple of years our signings have been almost universal hits. As for the people who aren't keen on him because he's from the championship - Jagielka, Dawson, Lescott and Smalling were all bought from lower leagues and lets not forget that Colo was down there a couple of years back (lest we get too far ahead of ourselves).

Not saying this lad is the real deal, just that i'd hope our scouts have a better idea than us and they've earned the right to be believed!

For me too small to be a Prem CB. I believe he's under 6' and we are crap in the air as it is.

You don't have to be that tall to be good in the air. Saylor is miles better than Williamson in the air, and Saylor is I think only 6ft 1 or 2, and Willo is 6ft 4.

I agree Tash, but then I never thought Williamson was a a rated CB in the Prem.( He's far too slow also ) My problem is if he was good enough how come he's not been picked up yet at his age ( 26 I beleive ). I just want us to sign a competent CB ready to walk straight in the team who will be able to play alongside Saylor , when hes fit. ( I beleive Colo will be sold )

If the option is him or going the rest of the season with no CB cover then yes.
