Great draw I think.. if we can beat Millwall and then churn out a good performance vs bolton (never know may play their weak team due to their position) were in the last 8.. looking at the draw if Norwich get through which they should, I fancy ourselves vs them.. all of a sudden were in the semis at Wembley!! Its the FA cup anything can happen!!
It could have been worse, away to SunderlandMiddlesboro perhaps? The travelling is hardly good preparation for a Tuesday night League fixture. I'm happy that we are home.
Don't know what you're complaining about, home draw vs anyone is a good draw, and a winnable one like this is even better!
Draw is both good and bad...it's a winnable game at home against a Premiership side if we beat Millwall, but it's also a match that would necessitate a fairly strong side at the tail end of a very difficult stretch.
Not a particularly appetising tie, but at St Mary's, it's one we'd have every chance of winning. Got to get past Millwall first though.
There will still be opportunities for fringe players, remember we beat Blackpool last year with a virtual reserve team.
You may well be right but I don't think Bolton would do that, There having a poor season but a good cup run could give them a upturn in fortunes and kickstart them towards premier league safety.
If it is indeed Southampton v Bolton we will need to score twice. You just know Kevin Davies will get one
Think we will beat Millwall at home. Fairly confident we could Bolton a good go at home as well. A Semi final place is not out of reach
Well guys and gals should we get past Millwall......it should give us an idea as to whether we are ready to go up into the premiership......taking on a team in the lower regions of the current premiership. Mind you last year we took on the mighty Man U and should have won it but for a mistake at the back. So will be interesting maybe......
I'm feeling optimistic about this, Millwall i feel we have a very good chance of beating, and the same with Bolton. Just depends on the form and the team Bolton brings to St Marys, quarter finals at least certainly isn't out of reach. Although the league of course takes precedence, i always love a good cup run.
Some premature talk of Wembley here, we need to win three games first. I'm looking forward to the Millwall replay.
