Off to watch my local team (KSV) in a crucial top of the table clash in the Regional South-West Division this evening. Currently looking good for promotion into Bundesliga 3; Fuerth are their nearest challengers once the games in hand are taken into account and have the best away record in the league, so it might be a decent match.

Still, if its not I'll have a couple beers in the stadium <cheers> and maybe a wee bratwurst or two.

I had barely blown the froth off the top of my beer when Furth scored after 45 secs. The first 20 mins were played at a frantic pace. According to the local press, the GF team had an average age of 21.3 <yikes> and boy could they run. Closed down everything and broke at pace. KSV had left their top scorer on the bench. Presumably a tactical move (as he's not the quickest) which went tits up due to conceding early. His replacement, ironically for me, called Damm was quick. Quick to lose the ball. Quick to fall over and quick to have a wee rant.

At HT, Bauer (the aforementioned top scorer) joined the affray and immediately it was one way traffic towards the GF goal. Unfortunately the two best chances fell to Damm, and with Nish-esque poise, he fluffed both of them. Dodgy penalty awarded to GF mid-way thru the half was well saved, and the onslaught continue. Long story short. Fifteen corners and (at least) five more excellent chances later, it finished 0-1 and I had a wee beer while waiting for the 4500 crowd to disperse and then went home and watched Schalke gub Valencia.
