Pardew is to blame for the ridiculous sytem we have played in the past few games. They are all over the place. Jonas is everywhere, Cabaye was left back while Simpson went right wing, ben arfa was all over the place. Best was left wing I think. wtf

 

Willo and Perch were out best players.

Shola was ****ing abysmal. I gave him credit for his turn and pass to Best at the start of the second half... but it can't all be praise, I will also give him abuse for his pathetic attempt at reaching crosses, shocking workrate and general toothlessness.

I think we look more fluid with a 4-2-3-1 formation. It allows Ben Arfa and Gutierrez more creativity. All we need is a classy man leading the line. Shola isn't that man. The number of times Cabaye, Jonas or Guthrie couldn't play the pass forwards because Shola was just standing on his heels was shocking.

Cisse can't come in soon enough.

What game were you watching? I was there watching and the lads put in a very good effort until Brighton scored and they went a bit limp after that = ran out of idea's (plus we only really had Raylor as a decent sub). The two demba's are back next week and this wasn't a league game so it's not the end of the world. Also your being very harsh on Perch, seeing him for the first time live, he actually had a good game, nearer the end of it though I think he was tiring and maybe a couple of headers went astray, but all in all a good performance from him. Shola....to tell you the truth most of the time I wasn't watching him and when they read out on the tannoy he was captain I laughed out loud, but his first half and half of the second half he looked a bit better and made more of an effort (this coming from someone who thinks he's normally a useless ****).

I actually would play Obertan right wing and drop Ben Arfa. I think Jonas should simply play left wing and stop this ridiculius role he has now in which he dictates everything

 

A captain should lead by example and our team followed Shola's example and strolled around with **** all urgency.
