Mannone 6/10 MOTM not the confident kid form last season some good saves but kicking piss poor. East 3/10. Totally out of his depth. Never put his foot on it once in the first half. Makes you realise how much we take Rosy for granted. Nth Ferriby beckons Danny. Hobbs 6/10 whole hearted but some clumsy challenges, could have been sent off. Cooper 5/10 Div 2 or lower no composure. Dudgeon 5/10 The Crab. Poor game Never once took the opportunity to go down the line constantly cut inside. Cairney and Evans 6/10. Felt sorry for them first half as the back four constantly passed first time over their heads-Sunday League football. The few bits of good play cane from either of them. Brady 5/10, poor but should definitely have been kept on, only decent shot of the first half. King 4/10 piss porr. I understand he is rusty but he ahd a **** first touch which is a worry for me. Garcia 4/10. Poor. Piss poor. Fryatt 5/10 poor. No chance when the back four kept hoofing the ball up to him with two giant CB's t contend with. Mclean 1/10 you wont see this anywhere else but he gave the ball away 3, yes 3, times in the lead up to the goal. Sh1t first header to them, **** 2nd cushioned header straight to them, gets the ball back and passes it straight to them!! Total Wannk. Oli- 6/10 did ok Cullen 4/10 WHY NICKY WHY. Explain yourself please cos everyone i spoke to could not fathom it out. Nicky Barmby- poor. Didnt wind them up. We started off slowly against Posh it has carried on. You took Brady off yet ended up with a 4-3-3 with no width!! Terrible. Garcia or King should have been straight off. Dot anyone tell me this is the Cup and it doesnt matter. All our failings were clear to see. For the sake of a few million we will iss out on promotion. Stupid.
who cares ? the cup is done and dusted for another season. apart from Mannone - Hobbs - Evans and Brady, it was the squad players and some of whom have hardly played of late. no knee jerk reactions from me. its the fa cup and thats what happens in the fa cup. SHOCKS. long may they continue or the cup will die for sure.
I haven't listening to post match interviews because I was that mad. Are we definitely not making new signings before the deadline? Because today showed that we still have no striker that will put the ball in the net.
Mannone - 8 - Some great saves East - 4 Hobbs - 7 - As usual Cooper - 7 - Another decent performance from him Dudgeon - 6 - He's played better Evans - 5 - Hardly touched the ball Cairney - 6 - Had one decent effort but needs to learn to strike the ball, it can't always be passed in. Garcia - 4 King - 4 Brady - 5 - Had one great shot but struggled elsewhere Fryatt - 4 McLean - 5 Oli - 6 Cullen 5
You're boring! What we saw today will replicate itself in the race for a playoff place, mark my words. No depth, wrong decisions, lack of application, poor finishing. You can't deny it doesn't exist. And don't cover your eyes, stick your fingers in your ears and shout la la la
It's been repeating itself for over a year, it's clear for all to see that we're fine when we score first but when teams score first against us we have no way of getting in behind them and we lose 1-0 every time.
Good post. I really wanted Crawley to score in the first 5 mins just to see what we would do. didnt realise we would start so poorly again!
Your a knee jerker. Get over today. The main players will be back tuesday. Overall we are not doing that bad this season are we ? Not boring just not a knee jerker. END OF.
Thats not the case at all. It just seams like it at times. ie. Watford took the lead twice this season and we came back to win the game 3-2. so there is one for you for starters.
You're suffering from a common condition of 'Optimistic Blindness' You'll get over it as the reality bites. Yes Watford we came from behind, not deserved I might add, but go on name another one?????? I bet you can't can you
http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=840 Apparently we won't be making new signings because players out there "aren't better than the one's we've got"; should we not be trying to improve our team to increase competition and make the team better?! As much as the Allam's have done for us; there must be SOME money for a marquee signing, including a striker who has a presence in the box. Harking back to the ratings; did anyone else think we missed McKenna badly today? . Someone who can pick a pass and mop up in midfield! We still need 2/3 signings in my eyes; Billy Sharp is at the KC on tuesday night, he might not be the answer in the height department but good god at least he scores.
I'm not sure why Cooper's getting grief, I thought he did little wrong and I rate him. We were poor all over the park today, on reflection seven changes were probably too many, we didn't look like a team at all, though on paper that team should still have been strong enough to beat Crawley and I don't think Nick did a fat lot wrong(after all, the same approach worked against Ipswich). It was a cup game, it's disappointing, but hardly the end of the world, it's the league that matters.
Brum at home. They scored first and we fought back to win. But thats no excuse for today. The weaknesses in the squad were seen today. We dont have 20 decent players just 13/14 players with the rest making up the numbers. If NB cant see now that we need a decent proven striker such as Billy Sharp then our season will fizzle out just like last season. Fryatt is woefully out of form rightnow which is a shame cos he can do it at this level but all our expectations rest on him as a striker. Mclean works hard but thats not enough and Jay Simpson doesnt look like he.ll get a chance
Today is disappointing, but get a grip! You'd think the world had ended. Ok, we're not firing on all cylinders by any means and the squad is far from perfect, but we're fifth in the league for christ sake! Finishing etc is a concern, but with the likes of Koren, Rosenior, Stewart, Mckenna and Chester to come back into the first team then it's unfair to say today will be representative of the rest of the season. The fringe players let themselves down today, only Cooper and Oli emerged with any sort of credit. Your negativity does seem a bit OTT though.
Surely we'd prefer to be at Wembley fighting for a promotion to the top flight than a Wembley FA Cup semi? Let's be realistic; Koren is our playmaker: wasn't there, McKenna: not there, Chester (one half of the best CB pairings in the league if not the best): not there, Rosenior (best RB in the league): Not there... anyone seeing a pattern? Yes it's blatantly obvious we need cover as in some positions we don't have enough, but Tuesday night is a real opportunity with our best team out there to get 3 points and keep the play off push going! Keep Sharp quiet and I think a comfy 2-0 win will be on the cards. Today was bloody terrible but let's look forward to Tuesday instead of being annoyed at today's garbage. HOPEFULLY Barmby will get it right, let's just see.
I don't understand how people make some statements when there is absolutely no evidence to support what they say. Why will today's result affect the next league game when 7 of the players starting today will probably not be starting against Donny? Why will the form of Rosenior, Stewart, Chester, Koren, Dawson and McKenna be affected by todays result/performance? It doesn't make sense. Perhaps it's just people looking for opportunities to be negative.
It's because winning and losing becomes a habit. 25%+ of our first team started that game, not sure how many finished. Either way I'd rather be winning games, and putting out my strongest starting 11, to continue that winning habit
