Most effective protest was the banner "LFC Defends Racists, MUFC Defends Titles" and some sad little Liverpool fans cannot and will not see the bigger picture going out to the world, everytime they booed Evra you may as well have waved this banner and perhaps changed it to "LFC & its fans defend racists" because the more you protest the more it will have seemed like this is what you do. This has to end and it could have ended today, but no the reception Evra got over 90 minutes ensures it will drag on the next time you go to Old Trafford. I used to like & respect Liverpool and its fans, but not now.

I'm no Liverpool fan but what on earth did anyone expect? They're not defending racism - they're booing someone who got their player banned. People can moan about consistency and logic etc. all they like but at the end of the day it goes out of the window when you're watching your team play your biggest rival. A large group of supporters of every team would do it and it doesn't in itself make them apologists for racism.
Evra also admitted to saying some distasteful comments about Suarez in his statement and was never punished by the FA. Everyone seems to think that Evra is a victim, when he is just as responsible for the clash between himself and Suarez.
