Shame we were paying him so much for so little, but hopefully when he's gone we can offer that 60k to better players. <ok>

He's past it but never gave less than 100%. Was a great captain as well in the CCC and helped get us out of that horrible division.

Obviously no goals to remember, the two closest occasions I can think of though are:

    - the 35 yarder against Arsenal in the cup, ****ing belter if it had gone in
    - the open goal he missed from 2 yards out in the Championship (Swansea at home?)

And that red card he took to save us 3 points against Cardiff was important, one of the early games we had to win.

I was there when he scored for us. It was his debut in a pre season friendly. I thought it would be the first of many <laugh>

I was there too! Beautiful day, I seem to rememeber. Was also Mark Viduka's debut too, if not mistaken. Ah, such exciting times, which turned sour quickly.

Glad to have him in the Championship season. Yeah he's poor and did next to nothing otherwise, but that was an important season for players to step up and do something - and he did, so I won't be saying good riddance. Good luck to him, but I am glad we've cleared off a large wage.

Honestly, I think the only people who were excited about Mark Viduka's arrival was the Benton branch of Greggs.

I'm not going to say good riddance because i still like him as a player, but the 60k in wages can certainly be put to much better use. All the best Alan.

My favourite memory is when he came on against West Brom last game of the season and then all of a sudden we conceded 3 goals.
    Magical. :)

In all seriousness, I respect him for what he did in the championship and don't have any grudge towards him at all, people also forget the presence he had behind the scenes as well.

Wish him all the best. <ok>
