    Go on defend him................

Blackburn Rovers captain Christopher Samba has again asked to leave the club and has said he needs a 'divorce' at Ewood Park.

Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers are both interested in a £7million bid for the centre-back and earlier in January he requested a transfer.

Blackburn owners Venky's and manager Steve Kean are adamant Samba is not for sale, but he is presently training with the club's reserves after making it clear he is not committed.

There is now less than a week to go in the January transfer window and the 27-year-old remains desperate to leave, however, an end to the stand-off does not appear to be close.

"I've got nothing against the manager. It's not like he's been given £100million to spend, he's trying to do the best he can with what he has. This is between me and the owners. It's personal."

Samba said in The Sun: "When a couple don't get on they get a divorce, and that's what me and Blackburn have to do."

He added: "Blackburn need players who are 100 per cent for the club, and I'm not.

"The only way to solve this is for them to let me go. It will be very difficult for me to play for this team again.

"I'm at the end of the road here. I'm not going to change so, for their good and mine, they must sell me now."

I think you can defend him.

He was clearly made promises, when he put in a transfer request last season, that convinced him to sign the new deal.

    Evidently, they weren't kept.

I'm sure we've all worked for a company, where big plans and pledges were made, and not kept.

You lose your focus, and you lose a little bit of interest and commitment, so you move on.

Ideally, in this case, to us...

    That's very true mind.

Strikes me he's desperately unsettled, and is trying all he can to get his move.

Been listening to this on Talkshite & whilst the lad is undoubtably an excellent CH, he's gone down in my estimation.

Basically what he's saying is "if you don't let me move, I'll play ****e deliberately". WTF?

I dont think you can defend him, its dosent matter one jot how many promises were made to him the fact remains that he signed a new contract with Rovers only 9 months ago and call me Mr Old Fashioned...but asking for a move so soon after signing that that contract is abit naughty in my book

A bit like Darren Bent,Gyan, Berbatov, Carrick forcing moves away following the £££

I wouldnt be surprised if Samba had a relegation cut price clause in his contract so it might make sense for him to move anyway for both parties

I couldn't defend that attitude...He is being very well paid by Rovers and is also under contract, so therefore should play to the best of his abilities while this is the case...

He'd be an INCREDIBLE buy for Spurs.

If Arry doesn't go to prison he'll be steaming in there like a rat up a drainpipe.

A lot of 'holier than thou' sentiments here!

I suppose you all feel we should never have signed Sessegnon either?

He signed a big money 5 year contract on the back of promises that players like Ronaldinhio were going to be signed and big money invested in the team,he was conned, but I have no sympathy for him.He should have just signed a one year extension to his contract, seen if the promises were fulfilled, then signed a bigger contract. As usual he listened to his agent (who obviously made big money when he signed the contract) sorry Samba but I would let you rot, like Man City are doing to Tevez.

Someone's gonna get a ****ing bargain, he's a top 6 side player ffs!! Even if he is a bitchy moany arsehole, it's not like WE HAVE BEEN THE ONLY team to have 1 or 2 of those and given MON's experience, I'm willing to bet he will handle him. It wasn't that long ago -5 months in fact, people were calling for petulant little snot-rags like Nzogbia and and Barton.

    I want him :)

Plus he's been at a crap Blackburn side for years - despite links with Arsenal/Spurs etc for the past probably 4 transfer windows he's got on and done his job. As has been pointed out he obviously got promised progress, signings etc when he signed a new contract - they've essentially lied to him to get him to sign a new deal - and enough is enough for him.

I can't blame him at all, he's been loyal to the club for the past few years of speculation and there comes a point when he's had enough of Venky's being really ****.

I'd have him in a heartbeat as he would improve the team, simple as.
