Only a team which is at the bottom half of the premiership, would be willing to spend to help keep survival, which I don't think he wants to take a chance on. Now if his agent is any good he should be thinking can I sell a player who had a good season 2 years ago? No I need him to show the world what he can do. Tells Nicky pull your socks up more goals = more clubs interested = more money! For NM and agent! If the last option is taken, we get him firing, we get more goals= more wins = we stay up! He won't be the first to run down his contract, and wont be the last, as far as I'm aware, could be wrong but has Elliott or any of the others signed a new one yet? I know about Fontaine,
It's simple. We've been talking big about promotion and new stadiums for a few years now, and now it's 2012, we have a small group of idiots that are still in the way of the stadium and we're amongst the favourites for relegation. Since Maynard joined the club has gotten worse. Sure, he's ****ed us over quite a bit, but he's 25 now and I'd imagine that he wants a crack at the Premier League before he's in his late twenties and at a League 1 club. A smart man would have signed a contract last summer and would have earned his transfer to the Premier League on merit, but I'd imagine that Maynard is feeling quite desperate as he's no longer young and no longer the goal monster he was at this club.
