    Evening all

Can any of the gamblers out there recommend a decent online betting site? I'm not much of a gambler so I've only really heard of a few. The most simple one would be the ideal one.

    Cheers.

paddy power is quite good as it does a lot of special offers, like if rooney scores a header all losing bets refunded etc...

I was just looking at Paddy Power.

I hardly ever bet on anything but my dads mate has a horse running at Cheltenham tomorrow and he's told me it's a banker. He even said he would give me the money back if it doesn't win so I thought I might as well.

Im on ladbrokes and betfair. Ladbrokes for me is a nice site and easy to use but I'm pretty sure they don't have the best odds. Betfair I have just this minute joined so I'm not sure yet. Ladbrokes minimum deposit is a fiver and betfairs is a tenner which is worth noting if your only putting small bets on.

Which ever one you go for should give you an introductory offer - normally matching your initial stake

    Bet365 all the way

I work there, so I'll give you a good start if you contact Swedish Customer Service ;)

Nah, but it's seriously the site I would recommend. Many different betting options and great live odds. I can't use it though for obvious reasons :(

And after just taking a look at the site I'm confused, back and lay with different odds? going to have to read up.

i find william hill the best to navigate but its odds arent normally that great so i would recommend paddy power. And, what is this horse thats a banker? As long as it isnt Big Bucks (cos thats gonna win anyway) then i may follow it!

Just back like you would with other bookies. Laying is you acting as the bookie giving other people odds. I tend not to do it. Also be wary of digital odds vs. fractional odds on bet fair.

Yeah i see the odds are decimal. I'm not used to it but should be in no time really. I don't like the sound of acting as a bookie ill stick to backing. just need something i can lose my money on now :)

I stuck £15 on it, it's worth a go I suppose. The guy seems pretty confident that its going to place top 2 and he's usually right on the money.

I use in this order for sportsbetting :1. Paddy Power. 2. Bet365. 3.Skybet. Skybet actually ran out of money to payout at one point not so long ago so would be wary of using them. Bet365 would be the most secure site but for functionality and a bit of fun Paddy Power, they have a light-hearted approach and you often get little free bets.

Also I would avoid William Hill as they had quite slow payouts last time I used them, whereas Paddy Power and Bet365 you can cash out immediately.

i avoid william hill on principal after they refused to pay out a load of winning bets a few years ago on a rugby match, they made the mistake and they took the bet at agreed odds, they should have paid out- knobs.
