Once Van Persie had been sent off, I would have set out to break those cheating ****s up.

First off, it would be nice to give them a proper reason to go down and stay down.

And second, I'd see how much I could get away with considering the ref had already ****ed us and wouldn't be inclined to try it again. For example, Rosicky went unpunished for a blatant foul after VP saw red. Would he have gotten away with it in the first half? Doubtful.

But I wasn't playing tonight. I'm just another armchair **** behind a computer screen.

Arsenal players were going down as well for no reason, get over it. Barcelona should also of had a pen in the first half.

Just how exactly were the Barcelona players cheating? The RVP sending off was a little harsh but the ref feared the lad was time wasting, and so he enforced the letter of the law. I can totally see the ref's point of view but also RVP since the noise from the crowd would have been deafening and would have made hearing the whistle difficult. Don't deflect from the defeat by claiming Arsenal were cheated out it, the statistics showed over both legs Barcelona were the better side by a mile. There's nothing wrong with losing to Barcelona on this form.

So everyone else in the stadium could hear the whistle, but RVP couldn't?

If he has hearing difficulties the match officials should have been made aware of it prior to the game, to avoid any confusion <ok>

Are these 'most people' fellow Goons by any chance? Look fella I'm not on the WUM, but the Barca defenders heard the whistle alright and stopped running - that must have been a pretty clear indication that the ref had blown?

I watched the game with a gunner, 2 mancs and a chelsea fan. All called it a joke.

    au contraire,

You stated that we go out and attack and get ripped to pieces, did this at the Emirates and won, last night we sat back, didn't attack and got ripped to pieces.

    :p

    <applause> Fair play.

Question, with the Spurs/Aberdeen affiliation are you somewhat of a rarity up there?

<laugh> But it's not that you didn't try and attack, you just couldn't get the ball.

Not too bad, im a member of Arsenal Scotland which has quite a few members from here. But to put it simply, I wont be going to the pub to watch Arsenal/Man U as the ratio's are a little against me.
