I do enjoy the whole short passing game, but Barca take the piss. It's like watching Arsenal with your TV on slow motion. Real are more exciting.

I could see why you would favour Madrid because of the bias or playacting of Barca... but it's bizarre to claim that Mourinho's tactics offer better football than the best passing team in history!

No more so than passing the ball around a lot and falling over all the time. They are tactics/styles of play, and what 'football is' is opinion, sideshow badger thinks Real Madrid play better football than Barcelona and you can't prove that they do not because it is opinion, so does that mean Barcelona play 'anti-football'?

Seriously? They play like Liverpool did under Benitez... or Chelsea under Mourinho. Alonso or Pepe just pinging the diagonal ball forward, all athleticism and muscle, good on the break, but hardly what I'd call exciting <laugh>

Lets be honest here, Madrid only started scoring when Benzema came on and they started playing route 1, sounds very Stokesque to me

I just prefer to watch the more exciting and incisive style of Real as opposed to the patient short passing game of Barca.

Kicking the **** out of the opposition because you aren't in the same class, is not tactics/styles of play, its pure thuggery. Playing football and falling over all the time is a lot better then, attempting to injure/ kick the **** out of the other team, then fall over because even that doesn't work.

They only really play like that against Barca. I've seen numerous games this season where they play a fast, flowing style. The barca play sends me to sleep. Like i said, it's like watching arsenal in slow motion.

Yes, Real Madrid kick the **** out of Barcelona. <doh>

Discount Pepe and Madrid are no more dirty than Barcelona.

Fair enough. I guess football tactics are all about opinions!

Personally I love watching the precision and technique of the short passing game, so favour Barca, but I understand that some people see all the passing and waiting for the right moment as tedious!

    Bet Ronaldo isn't far behind.

Ahh we come to the argument... would you take trophies and Allardyce-esque football, or limited success but beautiful football?

Personally, I would rather spend my money on the latter, but it's a divisive issue!

So have you missed the antics of Ramos, Coentrao, Diarra etc.. the last umpteen classicos.

Its pure cynical football, and when the spanish national team are destroyed and go back to the grand failures of years before you can thank Mourinho

Just got back from the pub (sorry if I appear slightly intoxicated. That would be because... I am). Alves' goal was siiiick like a wedding night chunder. No, that's a terrible metaphor. Sick like a... I am literally lacking in appropriate analogy. I also just spent 5 minutes trying to remember the word 'analogy'. Alves' goal was like Tash's reaction to seeing a real woman's vajayjay. Caused a mess everywhere. Nobody knows what liquid is going where.
