We have had Carroll and Saylor coming through our ranks, Carroll obviously got sold for 35 million...Who you think will be the next big star in the future from our team that will go on to champions league team or have a large transfer?

I know i am counting a few first team players here: -

    Sammy
    Ferguson
    Tavernier
    Abeid
    Vuckic
    McDermott
    Inman
    JJ Hooper
    Streete
    Adam Campbell

All should be playing premiership football in the next 5-10 years.

Thing is, I think Carroll was going to get released from our academy at one point, as was Forster. So players who you don't expect to develop sometimes do and ones who you do expect to, don't.

Out of the ones you mention I think:

Sammy Ameobi - Could become a good Prem player - has the right attitude, don't think he is ready yet though.

Shane Ferguson - Looked class last season, hasn't been given a chance this season. Must be a reason behind it.

James Tavernier - Seems to have progressed a lot this season from his loans. Pardew said he has been awesome in Tenerife.

Mehdi Abeid - Looks a good player already.

Haris Vuckic - Looks class, not the finished article. Could be great.

Greg McDermott - Don't know much about him, apart from he's Terry's son.

Brad Inman - Got the potential, not sure he'll fulfill it.

JJ Hooper - Looks a good prospect. He's huge.

Remie Streete - Looks a classy player.

Adam Campbell - Same as Remie

I reckon Vuckic will be the next star - followed by Campbell and Streete...

Abeid is currently the best of that list followed closely by Vukic. Either could light up the Prem next season.

Sammy and Ferguson will always be able to earn a wage in the Prem of the Championship but my guess is that they won't be stars.

Of the rest, I'm going strictly on second hand info but Tav is apparently promising

I think Adam Campbell and Remie Streete will be really good. Vuckic and Abeid will breakthrough soon. Also Dennis Knight is a prospect

These and possibly Sammy if he builds on the potential shown at the start of the season.

Would've thought Ferguson on what I've seen from him, but if he isn't getting any game time, maybe there's a reason why.

I think the reason is that 10 year old's aren't allowed to play in the Premier League :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Vuckic and Abeid are streets ahead of anyone else in younger prospects IMO.

Sammy looks good but I think he'll end up playing in the CC unfortunately. He's got some good skills, but he's basically on the same level as Kazenga Lua Lua.

    Ferguson I'm not so sure.

Sammy - Gash, would rather have a headless chicken, good attitude though.
Ferguson - Should be ahead of Sammy. Quality written all over him
    Tavernier - Heard good things
Abeid - Looked quality, most likely to play at Pl level with Fergie
    Vuckic - See above
    McDermott - havent seen him
Inman - isnt he like 21 now?
JJ Hooper - Will make it with that name
Streete - never seen him, heard good things
    Adam Campbell-isnt he ginger?
