Yeah, looked very average at left back for Argentina and didn't look comfortable, need him on the wings to attack the opposition imo.

If Barton and Ireland are back for Stoke I'd rather have Ferguson at left back if Jose is out, Guti and Barton on the wings then either Ireland/Nolan behind Best.

Agreed, hope Loven doesn't start, Ireland/Nolan off Best would work better.

Horribly average as a full-back IMO. Has Maradona being given Pardew a few tips?

Golden question though, who'd we rather have behind Best, Nolan or Ireland? If Nolan is employed behind Best then I might bet him to bag another goal (and overtake Carroll!!)

Horribly slow ****ING KEVIN NOLAN in the hole? ****ING KEVIN NO PACE NOLAN IN THE HOLE?

Sorry, IMO Nolan behind Best wouldn't work, rather see someone technically better and quicker in behind someone as active as Best.. and I think Ireland is the man, Nolan and Tiote can protect Ireland!

Hitler reacting to Kevin Nolan playing in the hole!

Haha, is that a no then..? :p

I wasn't saying he should definitely play there..just a suggestion that was up for debate ha.
But yeah you're probably right, Ireland would be more effective.

    I'm sorry..i won't do it again :(

If we have Best up on his own ideally we would need a pacey, creative player behind him...

No I didn't mean to sound offensive or anything, I mean look what happened when Nolan played behind Carroll...

It can be effective but unless it's with Carroll involved, then I can't really see it happening.

Hatem, could Ireland be one of them? He's much quicker than Nolan.

Ireland would be the better choice but not sure where Pardew will play him

Wouldn't play Jonas there, were struggling for wingers as it is.

Little Ferguson will have no bother with the likes of Kenywn Jones and Carew anyway...

Maybe Ireland, but next season I would like to see Ben Arfa there.

Haha nahh it's cool don't worry.

I see what you mean about Nolan. He's better in mid where he's admitted himself he's been made to look better because of Tiote...

Ireland's quite pacey and creative as far as I know? Well he was at City. I can't see any better solution. It's either that or Best upfront with Lover...

Can't see Lover having much effect, so hopefully we'll try something different.

Is everyone forgetting Ameobi here? He may also get a start ahead of Ireland or McLoven.

Is Perch injured or something. He didn't do to bad vs Spurs, especially since he was against Lennon. Think Perch would give us the need physicality that Ferguson doesn't have.
