Going on current form and previous history I see no reason to change my forecast. We are now 4 points behind on my forecast for the playoffs, despite being ahead of forecast all season until the last two games. Hessy needs a win at Accrington to turn us back on course, is he capable? ask me at 5pm next Saturday. As for the Accrington goal scorers don't have a clue but went with this... Accrington Stanley 3 vs. Gillingham 0 - (Amond (2), Evans) To make this easier for me, please ensure your predictions are clearly posted, as the example above. Usual disclaimer: ‘wums’, disruptive posts are not welcome and will be removed, you have been fairly warned! thanks brb
Accrington Stanley 1 - 2 Gillingham (Evans, Kuffour, Jackman) I'll be there on Saturday (but will take a blindfold just in case). Anyone wanting to meet up please PM me.
Might be worth keeping in mind that John Coleman, who has guided Accy Stanley from the lower leagues into D2 over 13 seasons, is likely to have gone to Rochdale by Saturday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16677998.stm Whether that will have any impact is up for speculation, but if he's still there for a last hooray and to say his goodbyes (is there still room for sentiment in football?) then the Gills defence had better be ready, as I think the team will want to give him a spectacular send-off.
Apparently Stanley boss Coleman has agreed to go to Rochdale. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11765/7450802/Coleman-agrees-Dale-terms Will this have any effect on the match?
Yep he's gone. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9488210.Rochdale_to_unveil_Coleman_as_manager/
So not confident for the rest of the season now, I can see us slipping away to mid-table fodder. Stanley 2 - 1 Gills (Kuffour)
