Being as I share an office with a Notts County fan, who has not stopped taking the piss since last year's 3rd round game, I am reluctant to get too excited about the Cup game against the smogs. But their form has dipped, so we have a real chance of progressing on Sunday, plus it's about time we had a real tilt at a cup. MO'N has a good record in these sorts of games and I for one am hoping that we can put a run together, so long as it doesn't detract from chasing the mags up the Premiership table.

Anyone else getting the Cup buzz? Takes me back to Johnny Byrne in 1992 and Crozza's enormous hooter :)

I've defo got the buzz. Living in Teesside means all my mates are Boro fans, so its always a big match for me!
Boro have held their own in the league this season, but the quality of football is very poor apparantly.
I hope MON puts our strongest possibe team out and we hammer them!

If Boro sit back I reckon we won't hammer them. If they try to go for the game we will hammer them.

Real shame but i think Arca is banned, i think he got sent off last match.
Id also love to see Ji, Kilgallon and Gardner start, freshen it up a little and give players who deserve a chance a chance.

That is a shame, he certainly deserves another run out.

    Definately getting the buzz now.
Always loved the cup, shame I wasn't born until 2 months after we last won it.
My favourite memory is Gordon Armstrongs magnificent header in the 92 QF against Chelsea, i went mental for about 10 minutes !!

Just mention Sol Campbell and Sven the Perv to the maggy twat and that will shut the bastard up. Lol.

I think we will win on Saturday but we shouldn't take this for granted. Mon is a different character and he will be focused on getting through to the 5th round.

I always get an FA Cup buzz.

Does anyone remember when Gazza played for Lazio and Channel 4 did a 'Gazetta Italia' on Saturdays? I remember an interview with a coach who'd just won the Italian league (don't remember who or which team). He said 'We're very proud to have won what is probably the best league in the world. But we wish we had your cup'. I think Wrexham had just knocked Arsenal out, and that wouldn't happen in any other tournament but this one. The FA Cup is magical. Always.
