That's too rich for us anyway. I'd sooner have said Bent, a proven EPL and current international, £80k per week last year personally than a lad still making his way. That or give Gyan, the current African balon D'Or holder and proven international the same to come back.

    Just my thoughts like.

110% behind Cest on that. Don't get me wrong, I like Danny. But since getting a regular England spot, Bent has failed to score in two (and hit the post in one of them for Lampard to claim the goal). Gyan is t.v. gold-dust around the world and can help enormously with our sales project (plus he scored eleven goals in front of last season's midfield - he'll get more than that in front of the present one).

When Danny Welbeck equals what these two have achieved, that's the time to talk equal money with them.

Have you forgot how awful Gyan was at the start of the season. Give me Wellbeck any day.

No. I haven't forgotten that he started to go off towards the end of last season either. I just don't think the African Player of the Year, a World Cup quarter-finalist, and a man who scored eleven in the PL when he didn't come on stream till October should have his entire career record written off because there was a short-term problem inside the club. Show me a player who hasn't had a few bad games at some time or other.

cutey I don't mind a player having a run of bad form but Gyan and Bent's bad form was due to toys being thrown out the cot and wanting to move away! Wellbeck always gave his all.

I'd take Gyan back. Thinking about it last week, I think he is the perfect frontman for how Mon likes to play now. Him and Sessegnon would be awesome.

His gripe was with Bruce not the club.

We would be a far better team with him in it imo.

Sorry guys but Gyan wasn't even short listed for 2011 player of the year , current player of the year is Andre "dede"ayew from Marseille . The only way I would have Gyan Back was if he made a huge public apology to our fans, I don't care how much beef you have with your boss you are supposed to be a "professional ,this is what you get payed handsomely for, and to say I moved to the UAE for "THE CHALLANGE" is really taking the piss out of your own fans.
