to chage the squad in my oppinion.Lets play our other squad players, the new and the old.
1ST: Its a cup game.it would be nice to progress, but premiere is our number 1 aim.

2ND,Away results: playing well but not getting points. Most of us know that we are relying on our home form to pick up points.Well lets change the team and see what reults we get playing away from home.

3RD: This is the right time to test playing our other team players.win, lose or draw with new faces will show us about our other players as the cup is not our number 1 priority.

For me this would be a good idea.ok let me have your opinions,I can take them. <laugh>

Monk is going to start for Caulker and McEachran is probably not going to play either to prevent them from being cup-tied. I'd like to see Lita and Routledge start instead of Graham and Sinclair. So that leaves us with a midfield of Agustien, Allen, Sig - I'd like to see this combination and rest Leon for Tuesday against Chelsea. Everybody else plays as per usual. And Vorm sits this one out also. That should be enough changes. Put Orlandi back on the bench.

i think mceachran will play as he won't be able to play against chelsea and he's here for the rest of the season, my 3 in the middle would be mucca, sig and augustien, i'd even consider giving young donelly a run off the bench, jazz richards could also feature i think.

Who in goal? Vorm, Tremmel or Moreira? I'd quite like to see Moreira in goal.

I think Sig will be lucky to play the last 20mins, Rogers will probably rest him for the Chelsea game on Tuesday

Good idea to give Donnelly a run out, it will give him a feel for the rough and tumble, and who knows, he might have a cracker!

We shouldn't predict what Rodgers will do as he tends to do the opposite, but I can't believe he put out our first team last team only to put out fringe players this.

I know there is no point in this given Rodgers track record of pulling rabbits out of hats by changing an 7 players but I think the line up will be along the lines of
Tremmel, Richards, Monk, Williams, Taylor, Routledge, Allen, Kemy, McEachran, Sinclair, Lita/Moore....Sig to play last 20 mins or so to help return to match fitness.
Cant see much fault with that side, key players rested yet still a strong squad

Well maybe i am alone in thinking about our bench squad and the new signings, except for DLove and also some other people regarding STIG,but i am totally surprised by the lack of supporters not wanting to try our new arrivals and also our reserve squad.
I ask why the hell did we sign players if we only use our main 13 players. When is the right time to play our full squad.
PLZ dont tell me end of the season, when maybe we are trying to survive or we will wait another season.NOW I AM LOST WITH THE CLUB AND SUPPORTERS,that we get players in January and we cant give them a chance.UNLESS most of Swansea want us to progress with the FA cup , rather than the league.PLZ tell me when would you use our new players and our bench squad.

For me, forget its an fa cup match. It's an away game against a premier league team, i say best team out and lets get another away win on the board and build some confidence! Also back to the fa cup who knows who we might draw in the next or the round after for that matter. maybe we can trump our friends up the road and get to wembley in a better cup!?

I can understand using the odd fringe player, maybe even more than one or two, but judging by the last game Rodgers is taking this competition rather more seriously this time around.

Sounds like BR's going for it. He has apparently asked Spurs to permit Caulker to play. I would think the rest of the team will reflect an urgency to win the game offset by who, if anybody, he thinks he needs to rest for Chelsea.

I think he'll put out a pretty strong team but not the starting 11 from Sunderland exactly. I think Kemy and McEachran will come in for a start and maybe Donnelly on the bench. Should be a good un.

what you earn really doesn't have a bearing on whether a player needs resting. every thing is relative

play who he thinks is best to get the win, remembering bolton are a premiership club that have picked up some nice wins recently. we are away so dont go playing like we did against sunderland and all the other away games as we know we wont win, play like we did against villa and we have a chance.....

my point was bony, these are professional athletes, getting paid thousands a week, playing one game a week atm - none should need a rest

Saturday to Tuesday is the quickest turnaround of games this season except the new year fixtures, where there were two very different teams put out by Buck. The difference now is with Josh and Gylfi, we can make a lot of changes and feel more confident in whoever plays.

I hope Orlandi gets a start as I think he has looked livelier than I expected. I think it's important to give Josh 90 minutes, with him unavailable against Chelsea, and Leon looks like he could do with a game off, so that could be a straight swap. I think we could have a go at Chelsea, so it will be a tough choice of who and how many to rest. We don't have a big enough squad to put a complete second team out if we wanted to, so we will have a strong team whoever is picked.
