It must come to an end surely sometime, you cannot keep dodging the bullets for ever.

Are they going to cut their costs on the pitch this time?

Nah, they'll keep signing players that we're after on massive wages so they can rot in the bottom half.

It's quite ironic, they seem to always be in these problems when we are coming up to play them.

    It never stops down there.

The latest "potential" buyer (who has just pulled out because he's been asked to deposit money in an indepedant bank as proof of finance, Ha! Ha!) is apparently an American Sicillian!!!

Perhaps he made them an offer they had to refuse!! Boom Boom!!

Why don't the Customs and excise take over the club, at least they wouldn't get into tax problems again.<whistle>

And they've just turned down a bit from Ipswich for 2 of their players.

    Ridiculous.

It looks really bad for Pompey this time though.

I wonder if they can survive another winding up order with a knackered parent company and no new buyer coming forward after the only potential one has pulled out?

Could they really go out of business for good?

They still own their own stadium I think, so perhaps with that and other assets (players? training facilities? academy?) perhaps they can go into administration (again)!

Maybe Ipswich will come back with a smaller offer Which they will have to accept. :emoticon-0104-surpr

Brighton rumoured to be after Dave Kitson and Greg Halford wont be short of offers.

Administration looms large again as they do have assets to sell ? 10 points off and bottom place with league one there best option to re-build. At least they would have a local derby against AFC Bournmouth next season.......maybe.

Let us hope that we win at Portsmouth and that Portsmouth can turn over Birmingham before they go bust then!
This will lower the point average for Birmingham and increase our point average, should they fold!

Maybe the tounge in cheek chant of "Were all standing on a future block of flats" may not be far from the truth!

    Much respect Hull :)

i'd never like to see a club go under not even the skates (pompey) but after they screwed over cancer charitys which i hold close to heart.
i'd love to see them go under, they have become a joke of a football club.

i reckon mr twitch aka harry could lend them some money from his offshore bank accounts?!? :))

If Pompey were to get wound up before the season is out then I presume that all points gained in games against them will be deducted from teams. This, as it stands, would put us in 8th position on goal difference.

Thats OK as it would still be only a 5 point gap to 2nd spot as it is now.

Still, I would rather be in top 6 than outside of it.
