The past couple of days has seen several interesting comments from the likes of Warnock, Barton, Ephraim, and now Young.

Obviously everyone is grateful to NW for what he did, but the comments from several players do seem to show that he had in fact lost the dressing room to an extent. He believes otherwise, but now several players have made comments that say otherwise.

    - Ephraim made a comment on twitter which i assume was in relation to NW on SSN.
    - Barton has done the same.
    - Young in his interview on QPR Player said we are more organised now and several players said before we were too expansive.
    - Gabbidon much the same as young.
    - Hill was seen shouting at NW during Norwich game to change tactics when they made some subs. NW didnt do anything and we conceded.

All adds up really. Although relating to Youngs comments - if we were playing expansivley then I would like to see us playing defensivley as we hardly had any chances of note in so many of our recent games!

It all adds up to what Ive seen myself, we really didnt have any tactics of note. You can also note the fact that we easily got outplayed by 9 men despite being the better team against 11.

Theres only so much players can take if theyre dying out for some instructions but the manager is just telling them to work harder. Those types of managers have a short shelf life in the top league.

"I think you get used to a certain way of doing things but he [Fernandes] is so far away, all over the world. I'm not a communicator by tweet, I'm afraid, so I was always going to be the last to know," he added.

Idiotic thing to say, doesn't he have a phone?

Not sure we should believe the players. Moral integrity isn't a highly prized commodity in the premier league, getting in with the new gaffer is far more important. Even on here the tone is changing and threads are being posted about 'Dinosaur Warnock' - you wouldn't have seen those in the days after he left, eh? As they say in North Korea: 'The Kim is dead, long live the Kim!'

N22, I can assure you several players were saying the same on the night of promotion so you can't link it to current events! It's just that it's only now it's coming out.

Yes it was, great night! There was a bundle of stuff and I'm not out to rubbish NW because his time is done and he got us up. One example..... He chose that day of promotion to let some of the squad know they would not feature in premier league plans and some not in person (ring any bells with his gripe about TF?). Basic man management? Could have let them finish celebrating! That alone alienated several players who wanted to enjoy the moment.

    From ric-roc

"Tony Fernandes rang a lot of the players after the MK game.
The next day he was sacked. Make of that what you will."

Seems like NW had lost the dressing room due to lots of things.

In a perverse way I hope that this is true. There would then be hope that Hughes could turn things around if we were better organised and he had the respect of the players. Didn't look like it though against MK Dons though.

Some players used Warnock as an excuse....you can see that from the last two games no improvement.

Yeah your probably right we barely had a chance at Newcastle and MH has had so long to work with them you'd expect a miracle by now (luckily we've had no suspensions, injuries or people away on cup duty) best we get ready for relegation, maybe I won't bother going to do........

Good thread, Judo. Just hope these players were thinking for themselves and not too influenced by their captain.

If NW had indeed lost the dressing room, then any criticism of Tony Fernandes is misplaced -he did indeed do the right thing for the club.

Over the past couple of days there has been several QPR players speaking out about how unhappy they were under Neil Warnock’s management, therefore further justifying QPR owner Tony Fernandes decision. Akos Buzsaky who starred in Mark Hughes first victory as QPR manager said he was considering moving from Loftus Road when NW gave him no playing time and claimed he was out injured - a claim which Akos strongly denies.

Sportinglife.com reports that Akos Buzsaky stated "I thought about maybe moving. When you are side-lined that much you think about everything because I wanted to play football.

"I tried to give 100 per cent in training but for some reason I wasn't in the plans."

Today QPR's championship star Adel Taarabt revealed he too was expecting to leave in January but admits that the management change was the right decision and that he now wants to stay at QPR, Taarabt told BBC Sport "I think if Mark Hughes was not coming in, maybe I was leaving in January." he also added "I think we needed that, I had good years with Neil Warnock but we were in a bad position."

Finally QPR's captain took to twitter to show his clear upset with Neil as over several tweets he blamed Neil for the position QPR were in and called him "embarrassing" before telling him to #shutitwarnock.

What is becoming clearer is that Neil's dressing room wasn’t in his entire control as he has made out and clearly Tony Fernandes difficult decision to sack Neil is already having a positive impact on the players as they are choosing to stay with the club under the management of Mark Hughes.

Exactly Goldhawk, thats what I think. TF based his decision on feedback from the players and once a manager loses the dressing room, there isnt much you can do but part ways.

Well we know both Barton and Taarabt went to see him, there must have been others.

I think that the premier league players that NW brought in have been used to more tactically astute managers/coaches which just further highlighted NW's weaknesses. They're also less tolerant hence the friction that has been revealed over the last two weeks. Overall this further justifies the owners decision!

Agree, that is what let NW down. He is more used to dealing with less technical players and motivating them rather than organising them into a tactical system.

Which is why he probably isnt a PL manager.

This is a big call thorpe but one i have to agree with. He had no experience of working with top class players. Maybe MH because of his very successful playing career and relatively successful managerial record will command more respect from the players. Lets face it, like him or loathe him, he was a top class player himself who played at some of the biggest clubs in the world.
