Six weeks after undergoing an operation on his anterior cruciate ligament, Lucas Leiva was back at Melwood this morning as he continues his road towards full fitness.
The Reds' midfielder has been taking the first steps on his rehabilitation programme back home in Brazil over recent weeks, but he returned to Melwood today and was given a warm welcome by staff and teammates alike.<ok>

yes i wonder what his rehab schedule is like. nobody seems to have said if he'll be back in light training this side of may or when we can expect to see him fully fit for us. Hopefully he can get all of pre season next year in.

""One of the reasons I decided to come back is because I think it would be good to watch the games here and be closer to the fans," said Lucas.

"Since I've been out, I have tried to spend my time watching the games and using Twitter with the fans so I could be closer to them and closer to the club as well.

"Unfortunately I am not able to play, so I had to find another way to be involved in the games and using Twitter seemed like a good one.

"It's the first time in my career I have been out for a long period and using Twitter with the fans was a good way of not getting too frustrated and support my teammates.""

And thats what makes a real footballer loved by fans..... nobody will ever love carlos tevez will they? Lucas is the kind of guy you just can't go out and buy you need to get very lucky to find a guy with this sort of mentality to come play for your club.

find another 10 and kenny would be happy.
