A year and a half a go this guy looked class and was running the show for Everton.

Then comes the January move to Spurs (Chelsea were also very interested) and the script said that this should have been a step up in his career. Since that move however he has only played 9 times for Spurs and everything seems to be moving backwards for him.

It's now looking like he might join QPR and I guess that this is another example that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Aye I think one of the problems is how good your midfield is, but he doesn't even seem to be playing much part as a sub.

Pienaar, for me, is an idiot. When he looked at Tottenham's wingers/attacking mids (Bale, Lennon, Van Der Vaart, Kranjcar, Dos Santos etc.) he should have realised it was a bad move.

Just seems to be unlucky with injuries recently and their midfield basically picking itself now, be hard to play your way into it in his position even when fit. Always thought he looked a great player though

Disagree with this, he just hasn't hit the heights of last season...still been pretty good! 10 games, 2 goals & 6 assists.

Like many players, he picked the wrong move. He was never going to be a regular at Spurs and went for the cash. It's like when Sidwell signed for Chelsea, was never going to work.

Him, Krancjar and especially Dos Santos are absolutely wasted at Spurs. They all need to move if they want to save their careers really. Unless the money is THAT good for them.

Spurs have some cracking players in the reserves and he is one of them. The grass isn't always greener as they say but I dare say it was money motivated too.

But his wages would have probably increased moving from Everton to Spurs..

I'm sure either Spurs or Chelsea would have been offering more than moneybags Everton though! Haha. Just more likely to get a game with you guys he thought.

Could be tactical by 'arry. Takes a star performer out of a rival team to weaken them rather than strengthen Spurs. In the same way he's refusing to sell krankjar etc to rival squads even though he knows he won't play him. He doesn't want to strengthen his rivals. QPR won't be seen as competition but can still offer the money, unlike wigan or Blackburn.
