Seriously, credit to you and Jonas DT for coming here and being reasonable. Some of your fans haven't. As you say, with Ba and Tiote it may have been very different - I don't like Tiote (think he is dirty) - but if he was one of ours I would see it differently - clearly a very good player. Tactical changes by managers made the difference yesterday, in my opnion. BMJ knew in first half, but hoped to get to half time @ 0-0. Then we sorted the weaknesses.
"Do you a deal. £20 + Ameobi + Smith + Perch. And 1 pie " remove Smith and Dempsey from the deal. Add a couple of pies, or JA Riise (who contains several pies) and we're getting close. You've gotta love Shola - he's a really nice guy. Reminds me of Kanu - both of them fun, kind, good when arsed - rarely arsed
I actually almost left in anger at HT. I was incensed at our first half performance and thinking back to Blackburn that Jol hasn't got the guts to admit he is wrong in time. But Jol showed he learns from his mistakes. Credit to Jol, he reads the game well. So surely at some point all errors shall be fixed! I am a lot more positive after Saturday.
Guess you didn't see the Santon foul on Johnson in the first half was Red Card material Like your ID 5 Goals 1 Hat Trick 11 Heroes-NUFC4LIF. I presume this is for something Newcastle did and not Saturdays game. After seeing Ruiz's defensive qualities for their goal, should we treat him like Taarabt, in that don't pass the ball to him when he's in our half Talking of Taarabt he says he now wants to stay at QPR.....Is that because he's just got use to the Bus routes ?...
I think credit should be given to AJ as he didn't go down with the first tackle, Krul really clattered in to him afterwards though. I wouldn't have given him a red card though. Santon was definitely lucky.
Never a red card for Krul as AJ was turning away from goal, hence not a clear goal scoring opportunity but definitely a penalty. The first penalty was lucky however.
Whether it's a penalty depends on whether or not there was a foul; whether it's a red card depends on whether a clear goal-scoring opportunity was denied: two separate things. Them's the rules.
no, a penalty is given due to a foul in the box, whether or not it is a goal scoring opportunity. If it is a goal scoring opportunity, then its a red. it was a foul (two fouls actually, AJ could easily have gone down under that first body check, maybe a red,as at that point it was a goal scoring opportunity), but not a goal scoring opportunity as he no longer had it under close control.
